U20 "Mamma mia" World Cup


I N V I T A T I O N

Hello everybody,
U20 "Mamma mia" World Cup (former known as Mini World Cup) is a tournament for all teams which did not manage to qualify in the U21 World Cup.

The games of the "Mamma mia" World Cup take place on the same dates with the U21-World Cup.

All games are knock-out games (cup mode) and the draw of the pairs is totally random. This can be the chance for even weak teams to win, with some luck, the new U20 Mini World Cup.

This is the agenda (timetable) of the U20MWC:

start of week 1 - Sunday - end of the U21/NT elections

middle of week 2 - Wednesday - official participation deadline

end of week 2 - Friday - draw of 1/32 finals or 1/16 or 1/8 finals (Depending on the number of participating teams. Following scheme is for 32 participating teams)

end of week 3 - Friday - Start of the tournament (=first game) - 1/16 finals
start of week 4 - Saturday - draw of next stage knock out matches

end of week 4 - Friday - 1/8 finals
start of week 5 - Saturday - draw of next stage knock out matches

end of week 5 - Friday - 1/4 finals
start of week 6 - Saturday - draw of next stage knock out matches

end of week 6 - Friday - 1/2 finals
start of week 7 - Saturday - draw for homeright of the final

end of week 7 - Friday - final
