As invited for this event, Australia explain his care about what was and what wanna be this tournament.Not all of us have decent U20 players on every positions, that could perform here.
Me had'nt aswel.
If the rules has changed in the way that the teams could use max 2 U21 players/matches, we comes.
But this way, we dont play here just to lose a single match on field or even we win ,after, with "walkover".
The second thing is "just KO stages".Think what was this cup and what is gonna be now.
We really wanna give just one match to half of countrys presents here?Nobody cares about litle countrys?Then why you name this WC, if a half of countrys go home after a single matchday?
I just wanted to make clair for all my oppinion.Australia want to be part of International tournaments(and we thinks about more tournaments that could be interesting:Asia/Oceania Cup, Ranking tournaments or other regular friendlies), but not this, not in actual organisation system.
Aussie U21 are free for friendlies, for almost all of the weeks.We play mixed(U20+3-4 U21) matches all, not we will get out atall a whole generation to develop them for NT.

Last season this tournament was cancelled. :(
I wanted to revive it and after a discussion with FREDDY_PAITO, we agreed to try some new things, as described in page 34. The point of view for trying especially those changes are also described in the same page.
If somebody doesn´t like the new model and does not have fun with it, it´s totally ok to not be a part of it.
If somebody has ideas about the next tournament, e.g.: double-knockout-games, his ideas are also welcome; I prefer to hear of them right after the end of the tournament. :)
PS: By now, I will completely ignore every statement about the tournament mode till the end of the tournament. Everybody who feels obligated or forced to comment the tournament mode shall read the previous 2 sentences once again. Amen!

No, it isn't possible. It's only U20. Pleast don't ask anymore if its possible to mix with U21-players.
Colombia sub 21 can play with players only sub 20, no problem

Edit: ideal would be a WC with 16 teams or 32.

We need just one more team? We are likely to reach the 24 teams. According to the rules: "§ 3.1. The tournaments takes place if there are more than 12 participant teams."
So, I think we have reached this milestone and I am very happy about it :)

There isn't a final with 2 teams with 24 teams in your modus?
There is in each case a final with 2, 2 semifinals with 4 teams and 4 quartefinals with 8 teams. Above that, there are teams with walkover (pass to the next stage without game) - like described on the rules on §3.3, §3.4 and §3.5.
This is done so, in order to have at the quarterfinals 8 teams.
The teams with walkover will be listed, so they can organize how to play, or I can make an extra draw for them, so they have somebody to play with, on Friday.
Teams on waitinglist are not banned. They can be recalled (§ 3.2.) and replace the winnerteam in case of activating § 1.3. (both teams play with U21 = both suspended)
For me it is ideal if all of my sokkerfriends play and have fun in the tournament. I have sent less than 10 personal invitations so far. I´ll like and appreciate it if you and other users send invitations to your sokkerfriends for the U20 MWC too. The tournament can be a big fun - one way or the other, the worst thing that can happen to a team in this tournament is just one lost game (because of the knockout). :)
