So managers should invite as many new users as possible, and some will buy Plus for sure. If managers post their advertisements on the right forums, it can attract a lot new managers and because of that they have a lot of changes to get free Plus from these new managers :)
And posting advertisements isn't much work at all. Managers only need to write 1 good advertisement text, that can be used over and over again. Only the keywords in the title and links could be changed everytime an advertisement is posted on some forum, as that is good for Sokker in Google, and that's changing a couple of words so that's also not much work at all.

I've been a promoter. It doesn't work Charles, really.
Well, I think posting links on forums will help much much more as doing nothing .... ;D
The pay-off for the effort is too low ;-)
ok how about you do this easyer...add a button to invite a user to join a bot team(lower league only) and if they buy plus you get some as well ;)
We, (promoters) have a problem with advertising sokker:we could use only our country domains for links, but more high visited websites have .com, .net, .info, .biz ended url.So, will be more efficient our job, if we could use for our links not only our country domains or languages.
This could be the key of promotion, not to invite others to embed links to sokker and if will be clicked by others and if that mens will register here and if that users will pay for plus and if the keyword used is good and if the pagerank is good, the user who posted the link will have plus.
There are too much if here to be joyned by sokker users or i don't understand your first post here well.

Dear Charles, I can only give you one word of advice: stop wasting your time promoting Sokker, it has no effect.
In my time, I, together with some other users, brought the Belgium user number up from 750 to 4000 people. First we had to do a lot of effort to get the people in, then we spent a lot of time trying to get them used to the game and perhaps love it. I made one mistake however: I thought the game would grow together with it's population. I was so naive to think that de devs would actually do something positive in stead of sitting on their lazy asses, creating things we don't need, ignoring the foundations and the future of the game itself.
Nowadays there are only 1000 users left in Belgium, mostly hardcore players which were there already before our advertisingcampaign.
Your probably a great guy for still seeing the positive side in this game, but take it from me, what you're doing now is an incredible waste of time.. It simply won't work.

Thanks for proving my point that promotion is very very important and will make a really big difference in the number of users in each country! :) Ofcourse many new managers will quit (even after logging in only ones), but enough will continue to play. You and I, together with 50.000+ others are also still here right? ;) Probably it won't become a game with a million+ users, but that doesn't mean managers should stop promoting Sokker.
And I think there is a link between managers stopped promoting Sokker and the drop in the number of users ....
Besides, enough managers can't afford to buy Plus, and this is a way to get it for free. I think that's a great option for them :)

I agree with Hells, advertising is useless. I think Sokker would have more users if new users would log in after they have registered. I even can`t imagine why they don`t log in. They forget? Imo really weird.

That's the same in every country. People are looking for a specific game to play and come to Sokker and, for example, notice this isn't what they are looking for because they want matches every day, of want to control the players, or just don't like the looks of it, or read all negative comments on the forums of what Sokker manager can't do, or what ever other reason they have this isn't the game they were looking for.

The name doesn't matter if the right keywords are used in advertisement links :) Besides, if this game was called something with 'soccer' no one would find it either without any advertisement as millions of other sites are called something with 'soccer'. And also, if you type in Google 'soccer game', the first few pages are all soccer games and without any advertisement of links this game would still be at page 10 and no one would start playing it as no one looks further as page 1, if lucky page 2. And another thing, if Sokker is on page 1 in Google the name could jump out because of the double K.
And yes, some things need a really good update. But we can't do anything about that so why should I and others focus on that? In another topic I tried to explain to greg what I think should be changed and others did the same, but we can't do anything more as that and hope for the best :) In the end it's his game and his call. But greg also really knows my enthusiasm, don't worry ;P
And I followed the rumors on the forums and it looks like something is going to change (if it wasn't a joke), so let's hope for the best :)

hopefully, that's probably the reason, why there hasn't been any updates the last few months.
