For those, wh do not know Woody, here are some few facts about him:
- I heard first about him, when he had some good results with the U21 of Perú.
- Every time it is U21WC, I know that Woody will prepare a U21WC-guide with interviews of all coaches and some interesting facts.
- Before the last U21WC, I remember him telling me, that Pavoniana (Belgium´s U21 coach) is one of the best coaches, if nt the best. Who won the final? It was Belgium with Pavoniana. And which team made the big surprise to reach the final and loose on penalty-shoot-out? It was Swiss U21; the team was coached by Woody!

U20 "Mamma mia" World Cup Expert Preview - Interview

- Hello Woody, do you know the "Mamma Mia" U20 Mini World Cup and do you know why it is named "Mamma Mia"?
Yeah! I think a very interesting competition because it brings the factor of training the U20 generation for next season plus the fact of creating a championship itself. Besides being well organized different from other unofficial competitions, this cup think about of the future!
Why is named ''Mamma Mia''? That's not what Mario speak? haha.... I can not imagine a reason.

- What do you think are the benefits of a team participating in the "Mamma Mia" U20 Mini World Cup?
As I said in the first question... the first benefit is play a U20 Cup, the next season is the WCQ, and the U20 generation now needs play matches in this season to help in trainings to prepare this players, so... this is the greatest possible benefit. The second is a organizated cup and Tsolias organized a good scheme to get a competitive championship.

- In the last edition, before 2 seasons, while you managed to reach with Swiss U21 the final of the U21 World Cup, Viet Nam won 1-0 against Hellas in the final of the U20MWC. Which 2 teams have the most chances to win this edition?
C'mon Tsolias... only 2 teams? It's dificult.... because... they have a large number of good and strong teams, besides the U20MWC champion Viet Nam with Red3x, they have Slovenija with andyS (Netherland U21 coach in some old U21WC), Ukraina played the last U21WC, Australia have l-zsolt, a good coach with experience in U21WC, Bulgaria with adix4o (a good coach), Azərbaycan is always a problem.... and of course, Switzerland, finalist in the last U21WC, Andreasson is a strong coach, too bad he make bad lucky in WCQ. But.... if i have a choose 2 teams for have most chances, i choose Bulgaria and Azərbaycan because you always expect them something stronger from the others! But I can not say for sure, I think it will be hotly contested and does not have a favorite.

- And now tell me 3 teams more, that have the potential to win against Bulgaria and Azərbaycan (the 2 teams you just named as favorites)
Well... i think Switzerland, Australia and Viet Nam with more potential, because i'ts a good teams with good coaches, the level is quite hard, so... the tactic will make the difference too.

- Finally one question out of topic: Who will win the U21 World Cup?

Why is it named "Mamma mia" cup?
Here is the answer: On the past U20MWC we had 32 teams from 5 continents (15 from Europe, 6 from Asia, 5 from Africa and 6 from the Americas), guided by managers from 17 countries. Eleven (11 !!) managers from Italy... and I wrote: "mamma mia!!"
After this comment, the Italian coach of Cuba U20 Re_Ietto named it Mamma Mia World Cup

This time most coaches come again from Italy: 7!
We have 32 participant teams from 6 continents (12 from Europe, 12 from Asia, 3 from Africa, 4 from the Americas and 1 from Oceania), guided by managers from 18 countries. This time seve (7 !) managers from Italy... mamma mia!!

I will record everything (with HyperCam), so you can see that the draw is random.
The result of the draw will be a list with 32 teams numerated from 1 to 32.

The first 16 numerated teams are the hometeams.

Rules

§ 1. U20 limit
§ 1.1. Maximum allowed age is 20.
§ 1.2. If a team uses at least 1 player in the age of 21, the team looses the game 0-3 (walkover)
§ 1.3. If both teams of a match use at least 1 player in the age of 21, both are disqualified.

§ 2. Arrangement of game
§ 2.1. The invitations have to be send according to the draw, which will be announced latest on Saturdays at 8:00 (in the morning) sokker time.
§ 2.2. Home team [sends invititaion with cup mode, till Monday 23:59 sokker time.
§ 2.3. If it not happens till Monday 22:00, the hometeam is disqualified.
(There is only one possibility to avoid this: You have to write on the forum WHEN (date and sokker time) you will send the invitation and send also skmail to the manager of the awayteam o inform him. Your delay will be accepted only if the manager of the awayteam agrees! His answer has to be written on the forum)
§ 2.4. If it is not in cup mode and the result is draw, the guest team wins the game (= qualifies for the next round).
§ 2.5. Awayteam accepts invitation till Wednesday 22:00 sokker time. If not, awayteam is disqualified
(except the manager of the hometeam agrees to wait and writes it on the forum).

§ 2. Disposición de juego
§ 2.1 . Las invitaciones se deben enviar de acuerdo con el sorteo , que será anunciado más reciente sobre los sábados a las 08:00 ( de la mañana) sokker tiempo.
§ 2.2 . El equipo local [ envía invititaion con el modo de copa, hasta el lunes 23:59 hora sokker .
§ 2.3 . Si no sucede hasta el lunes 22:00 , el hometeam es descalificado .
( Sólo hay una posibilidad de evitar esto : . Tienes que escribir en el foro CUANDO (fecha y sokker tiempo) se va a enviar la invitación y enviará también skmail a la gerente de la awayteam o informarle de su retraso será aceptado sólo si el gerente de la awayteam está de acuerdo ! Su respuesta tiene que ser escrito en el foro )
§ 2.4 . Si no está en modo de copa y el resultado es empate, el equipo invitado , gana el juego ( = se clasifica para la siguiente ronda ) .
§ 2.5. Los equipos han de aceptar la invitación hasta el miércoles 22:00 hora sokker, si no, serán descalificados

Thanks for draw, i wait for our home team invitation for our first edition in this tournament.
Nice opponent, they had 45,8 mark with 5 U20 players last match, we 46,5 with 6, but my U21 players was much better(on marks), than the youngers .
So will be a close match, as i expected.

Invitation for USA U20 - Prathet Thai (Thailand) U20 was send by myself today at 10:08 am.

Now I feel like Re_Ietto (Cuba) in the past Mamma Mia Cup. He had to play against VietNam in the first stage. My opponent is Bulgaria...

For me the 3 main favorites are: Bulgaria, Switzerland and Viet Nam.
Which are your 3 main favorite teams?

Invitation for Switzerland - Slovenija is sent too.

Of course we (Switzerland) want to win. We have a strong team I guess.
Other favorites are Bulgaria and Vietnam for me too.

Invitation for NIPPON U20 - SOUTH AFRICA U20 was send by myself today at 11:50 am.

The same 3 favs like yours, but USA and Latvia, even Indonesia could it make longer stage here, because of their valued youngs.But with so many good tacticians here, could be big surprises also.
It's not enough to have good players, you need to play them at his value using them tactically better.
If at U21WC every editions the better teams of world could -it win, Belgium could'nt win ever, because of Romania and Polska values.But exist the tactic aswel...and Pavoniana :D
