the thing is though that SO does log in fine. It seems to fail parsing cookies.

Check if the db*.lck file in the db subdirectory exists when the SV is not running, if it does, remove it. Or, if it doesn't help, the problem is Java can't write into that directory for some reason, so, like I said earlier, check the write permissions of SV directory, subdirectories and files; check if the path to them includes something strange; or move the SV directory somewhere else.
2019-03-04 16:32:36
probably the latter
I think that the error says lock file does not exist and it says that the file is null which suggest it could not be created, so I would expect You first answer was right - db/ directory lacks privileges to write.
2019-03-04 17:22:29
there is nothing in the db directory..empty
2019-03-04 18:15:51
but, can You change privileges for that directory? Can You add write rights. I don't know how it works under Windows, maybe uncheck read-only if it is checked for that directory.
2019-03-04 19:21:49
i do uncheck read-only but then it keeps comming back to read-only checked :(
2019-03-04 19:29:15
maybe you need to uncheck, click somethin like apply, and then click something like ok
or maybe it is some kind of temporary or system directory and you cant do it inside such directory

this is crazy ,i have give full control over this folder to all users of my computer but still cant get rid of that check box for read only :(

does anyone have an idea what i am doing wrong?

I installed latest java, i installed SV and when i open it and update data about mine club its all fine. When i close it and open it again he didnt remember any of mine data, only nickname and password of the club, so he downloads data again and we are again at the start :(

Unfortunately, SV just works this way. When You have it for lets say 10 weeks it is ok, but after lets say a year of using it, the "loading" time is annoyingly long.
2019-03-04 20:02:08
i have it 10 minutes and its still not working :)
2019-03-04 20:10:49
but the loading time will be longer with each thursday
and still, to just check something in SV, make talent screenshot or sth like that when it's not thursday you still need to wait a lot to start SV and display your team

i read that and many others....i think i will give up...thx for your time.

I've read now that read-only attribute is ignored for directories by Windows, you can write into any RO folder. So if you've unchecked it and applied, it should've unchecked RO attribute for all files inside, which is what matters. What you should check is the ownership of the directory and that it's not located in any of the Windows 'special' places, like Program Files and My Documents/Desktop/other directories in C:/Users/...

Also, this may be helpful.
