Prologue:

For you who do not know anything about the U21 World Cup or what happened in previous editions, with this prologue you will know all the details possible to take advantage of this great competition, here we show the characters that will be part of this story.

In the last edition, the world met a new champion, the Czech Republic with ostulc became champions for the first time against România and thus became the great U21 power, with the Czech Republic being also in 1st place in the world ranking.
Since that day, a lot of time has passed and the Czech Republic with its commander is back to defend its reign as world champions, but the România with G11 is stronger than ever and hopes to be able to have its revenge conquering this time the gold trophy.
But if they have a chance to make another U21WC final, we still do not know ... because new characters entered this story as Poland led by crisr, France with occitanie and Italy with michele79 that will participate in their 1st U21WC
as coaches and also of old characters who also want the gold trophy like Hungary with pabloaimar21, Germany with tsolias and Croatia with djimi, and we can not forget the return to competition of Karsten with Finland and Del P1er0 who in the past charmed everyone doing miracles with Montenegro, will now have the opportunity to do the same with Slovakia.
And also the return of those who thought that he would still rest a little of the routine of U21 coach and ended up coming back thanks to an opportunity that has arisen, the return of a person who has already been world champion in the past, who is this person? Well ... it's the person who talks to you in this prologue, the creator of the U21WC guide, Woody with Switzerland.
Now that you know a little more of the history of this competition, I wish you can make the most of this competition that I love, the U21 World Cup.

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Nothing specially to say

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

Because i had a lot of U21 players in my team trough my sokker career , and games of U21 teams are interesting and unpredictable

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

Last season was excellent with just one defeat in first week of season.
We have not good team as last season but we still have good chances to pass the group

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

Polska will be first , other three will fight for second place and that will be even games

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

I don't know , maybe Polska , Romania, Czech Republic :P

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

We don't have most important player :))

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

I can say Cuba U21, they have good team

Any words you want to tell the community?

Good luck to all teams at WC!

Coach: Artista
2nd U21WC as coach.

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Don’t think people are interested about my real life details ... Think more interesting for sokker community is the fact that for the first time we have situation that brothers with different teams manage to qualify for the U21WC. (Del P1er0 is my real life brother)

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

Like my country, like our sokker community…

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendlies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

As I manage to qualify on WC , it was a perfect season. If I analyses game by game, Im also satisfied, but in human nature there is always a goal to push limits and go further so would say that it can always be better.
Regarding this season and WC on first place, unfortunately we are aware of our team limits and drop of quality in all lines, so win a group game would be a big thing.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

Beside Poland all other teams are much weaker, and on paper we are behind Serbia(which is most close to grab the 2nd place) and England.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

There are obviously 3 teams which has the biggest chance to win the U21 WC Poland, Romania and Czech obviously cos high team quality.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Surprise is wide meaning, if one team pass the group stage its a bigger surprise than the situation that some other team go win the WC.
There are a lot of “2nd row teams” with quality managers which can manage to make a surprise on first place Turkey, Hungary, Belgium and Slovakia.
Think the Germany (despite that they are not a small community) is the most improving in point of team strength, but they need some more skilled manager with higher tactic skills so that they can push their limits. Anyway think on next WC they can be one of top 3.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

It’s a team game so all players are same way important.

Any words you want to tell the community?

Eviva Montenegro!

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Hello Woody, I have been the coach of the Czech U21 team for few seasons already. I am pretending that I know what I am doing, but seriously I do not have a clue. Recently, I have discovered the tactical editor and started moving the players around - but I still do not know what that white circle is supposed to be... (any advice is welcome!) Among my biggest successes are bronze, silver and gold medals from last three U21 World Cups I have been on as a coach, and reaching #1 in rank with the Czech U21 team.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I have applied in the elections and somehow I was the one with the highest vote count. People probably think that I can do something with the team, but I think the opposite. But at least, I might finally learn to do the tactics.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

Well, we somehow managed to be here at the World Cup, so it has not been that bad hopefully. But apart from that, it has not been that good. We were lucky to draw with Argentina in the first match of the season and then, we even failed to win against such a weak team as Poland! But glad we did at least avoiding losing in any of our matches.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

Our group is extremely tough. Germany is a traditional strong team (moreover, I can appreciate how strong they must be if my Ebner is not playing!) and Cuba seems to have an amazing generation. Azerbaijan might be a bit weaker than these two, but I still think they stand a decent chance. I think that Cuba and Azerbaijan might well go through.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

No idea... And saying Poland or Romania would be boring :-P

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

The most important player in our team has been the same for many seasons - the referee. Without him, our players would have no chance against all the amazing teams that participate on this World Cup. We are truly obliged to him and we hope that he will stay with us.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Eyeing at Cuba, I think they have a decent chance to make a surprise in this edition. Hard to say if they can win, but they seem to be close to other top competitors in terms of the strength of their team.

Any words you want to tell the community?

I want to tell the community that we want to live our dream and hope for miracles! But to that end, other coaches must help us a bit :-P

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

I live on a hill over Athens and I go everyday with my dog into a grove for a dogwalk. Once a week I also like to go to the beach and sometimes I visit concerts. I like to hear weird music (electro, progreessive dub with some ethnic elements etc) and my sokker tactics are also weird, like I am.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I prefered Germany, because I want to reach with Germany the final of the world cup. The Germans prefered me, perhaps because they like weird guys.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

I tried a lot of weird things in tactics and I also asked for help from the best. In this way I developed my tactical skills and this was the most important thing of the season.
People can now expect everything from Germany. About the community, I asked them the same question and this is their answer:

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

We were in the same qualification group with Azərbaycan 3 seasons before and I think their team is weaker now.
With General´s Cuba we were in the same qualification group past season. I respect General´s tactical abilities and I respect the Cuban community for their efficiency to develop class A players. I think they don´t feel lucky to be in the same group with Germany and the Czech Republic.
Finally what should I say about the world champions? They won the last cup, because they had class A+ players and they still have, and they also won because they have a very strong coach. It was not a matter of luck.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

I could name more than 3. Lets say Czech Republic, Polska and Romania.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

Edwin Ziegner, because he looked very weird, like me!

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Many teams can make surprises. I will name 3: Eesti, Schweiz and Cuba.
About the U21 levelof strength, I don´t think big changes are happening. Some weaker teams are getting stronger and some strong teams are getting weaker.

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

You're asking me to do the most difficult thing: talking about myself. I prefer to talk about sokker, but... ok. My name is Sorin and I am 44 years old. I worked for almost 20 years in the Romanian Army (Air Force). Now I am retired and I have lots of free time for sokker.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

Romania is my country. I have lots of free time and I want to help my country, even in an online game.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

The Romanian community is has lots of expectations, it wants the gold medal on every competition. Last season my main goal was to create a strong team for the World Cup. I think I achieved that goal.
The results from the official matches... delighted me very much :D
Romania did not receive a goal in the official matches. I think this speaks of the my team's strength.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

It's World Cup! It's normal to have lots of strong teams. In any group, any team can qualify or can go home. I'm sure that Romania will qualify :P

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

Romania, Romania and Romania :P
There are lots of good teams, I don't want to name any country. I'm afraid I would miss one. I would like to send a message to all coaches from World Cup. This season Romania is very strong. So if you're about to play Romania, stop dreaming about victory :)

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

I don't like teams with irreplaceable players (both in real football and in sokker). In my team any player can be replaced without affecting the team performance. The whole team and the Romanian community are the most important "players" for me. :D

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Me and theKarsten made a deal: Romania and Suomi will meet in the final. I hope he'll keep his promise :P

Any words you want to tell the community?

In the beginning football was just a game. In the meantime it became more than a game. Lots of people say that sokker is just a game. Let's make sokker more than a game. Let's keep sokker alive.
Enjoy sokker! HAI ROMANIA!!! :D

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Good day, mate! Well... not much ;-) . I live in El Hierro, Canary Islands. I think I am the only guy playing in sokker in this, the smallest island xD. I carry on 10 years in sokker, and the last ones made show more interest here around.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

Because of lacks of human teams, in general, and lots of bots ones, it was easier to get up here xDDD... less opponents in Spain, and better than me, for sure xD ...but already gone, or fed up of sokker! ...So coming into the u21 team brought me again into the game, because I was leaving. Since I represent Spain u21, I had the chance to learn more than I tried before.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

...You all know Spain play a diferent football, maybe the risky one, but we couldn´t expect enjoying it, without taking that kind of risk... At least, I believe in our playing style. :$
Because of this style, we´ve been into the world cup from the first stages, and clasified the first ones in our group, without losing any match...

About last season, that is sokker... we take risk, and sokker plays also his proper risky style... All together, dropped us out of the cup, but making 20-25 chances, Vs 5 or 6... we had no lucky days in the past, facing der Schweiz at eight finals (or quarter finals???)... I can´t remember, it shouldn´t be that important matter xDDD

About expectations, people awaits all of Spain, and NOTHING x´D. Nowadays, we haven´t got by far our best team, and it is known... So that´s why we are not the favourite ones to pass through this bestial group, one of the more 2 or 3 groups to die before begining :O !! So I try to get the best of the kids, helping their teams to improve their habilities... If we get anything more, it will be just a souvenir!! I think, our community know we are maybe the last ones in level this time, and the weaker lines in general... I´ll do my best, running and running xD

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

I pretend Spain to be one of them... but Türkiye and Magyarország are strong enough to make me get up of any illusion. xD

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

Italia, Deutschland, France (R.F.)... I would like they were any others than the same ones like ever... you know. ;-)

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

Maybe, our goalkeeper... we are needing him to keep us as safe as possible... A dream, but we realise it won´t happen xDDD

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

WOW... keep an eye in some of the American teams, 3 or 4 of them have reached very competitive levels... because of intensiv training, and they short communities... bytheway, we are becoming shorter and shorter... "shiter" happens xDD

Any words you want to tell the community?

Good day, mates! :P ...I hope we could all enjoy a big game, face no injuries, and fair play!!! Watch out some referee´s decision as well! xDD Complaints, send to Greg, wherever he is... :O :$

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

I'm 31 years old,and an experienced manager. :)

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

The international games are my only motivation in the game,I want to win the U21 WC trophy for Hungary.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

The expectation is eyery time, qualify to the WC. It was a succesfull season, only the games against France, were a dissapointment for me. The first game was a loss, 0-1,because the server problem,it was U21 vs. U20 game. In the last round of the qualifications was against France a 0-0,it was a balanced game, against a really good team.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

I think Türkiye and Magyarország have the best chances to qualify to the next round, but the other teams,Hellas and España are strong, too.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

Polska, Česká republika, Magyarország.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

We have a balanced squad. We have few important players, but we haven't a world class players.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Nederland and Türkiye are dangerous. :) I hope Crna Gora can make some suprise. :)

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Hello Sokker! I'm a 35yo M.Sc. in papermaking, living in the eastern border of Finland. I have two small kids at home which has limited the time with sokker only to roughly 30 hours a week or so.. :D This is my third season with Suomi U21 for now, but I don't remember anymore how many seasons in total I have with Suomi NT and U21. Too many I'd guess.. :)

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

Cause the community was too stupid to vote for me, obviously. Same reason why you're coaching Switzerland, right?! ;) No, to be honest, I've never had players outside Finland in my team, so it's quite clear it's always Suomi for me. Although I've been running for Poland a few times some years ago, but my great speaches didn't work then so I stopped trying.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

Last season was almost perfect for us. We won the qualification group without conceding a goal, so on a scale from 4 to 10 I'd say we had a 9+ season. The minuses come from the draw against U.A.E even though we won the shots 16-0 and in the end of the season I failed to set the line-up against Czechia as sokker was down, so we played with two slightly injured players, without substitutions etc. I didn't check the ranking in the beginning of the season but I assume we raised quite a few positions during last season.
People can expect a good run by us in the WC if we just manage to keep our players out from the hospital. We have a decent squad, not too many stars but the average quality is ok for a small country like Suomi. I'm obviously aiming for gold but a TOP-8 position is the minimum to make it a satisfactory tournament.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

We have a really interesting and balanced group. Haven't checked the squads too closely but I guess the basic level is more or less the same. There is likely to be draws etc., so I assume even 4 points might be enough to go through. Nonetheless I feel it'd be a huge disappointment if we fail to make it. My estimation is that we will win the group and Switzerland will take the second spot in the sun.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

Suomi, Czech Republic and Romania. There are also other teams with great material but if you're aiming for the gold you need to mention yourself and imo the two stongest teams are Czech Republic and Romania. I hope they will face each other early in the knockouts the make our path smoother.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

I'd say it's Luukas Tyyneläinen, even though his form is really bad at the moment. He is the corner stone of our tight defence and perhaps the closest to being a superstar in the squad. We have also other very important players we can't afford to lose during the competition but let's keep them as a secret.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Cuba might be surprisingly good in this edition. They had great qualifiers and the material seems to be really strong also this season. Uruguay had a great qualification as well and their squad is also strong. But to be honest, I have no idea who are the strong teams nowadays after the few big countries. There are lots of countries with 40-100 users which is already enough to have decent squad. So I guess sokker is coming more and more balanced behind the few big ones, which is obviously nice. And even the big ones can be beaten. Let's hope for big surprises in this edition, starting with us winning the gold.. ;)

2 U21WC finals as coach.

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Hello everyone, my name is Rodrigo Carvalho and in sokker I am known by the nickname of Woody, I'm 22 years old and I think I'm very famous as the U21 coach, because this is going to be my 6th U21 World Cup as coach.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

In the past I was coach from Switzerland and I managed to make the best result of the history of this country going to a U21WC final, but I do not feel totally accomplished in Switzerland because despite the good result, I do not feel I did everything I could... so, the coach who led Switzerland during WCQ decided not to continue and I decided to make a comeback as U21 coach not to feel for myself that I could have done something more in the past and also because it would be unfair to leave them who have such a united community without someone with experience to participate in the U21 World Cup.

You had not been the coach last season, do you think it can harm you in U21WC? What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

I think it can mess up a little because my preparation was only two friendly matches I've had since then i comeback, but I think I could do all possible tests and so I think this may not be as harmful.
I believe the community will be pleased if I can at least get a quarterfinals, but I always want more, and what everyone can expect from Switzerland in this U21WC is that Switzerland will fight to become U21 World Champion and I believe in myself, so I can do that.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

I think it's a very difficult group because I'm going to have to face Karsten who has already been a U21WC finalist and Del P1er0 who has already made big surprises in this competition in the past so I think the fight will probably be between us, unfortunately only 2 will continue, but I would not underestimate Portugal because in the 5 editions that I participated I learned that even those who do not expect anything, may surprise us.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

The first team that I think can win the U21WC is Switzerland, we may be able to do such an unprecedented feat, the other 2 I believe are the finalists of the last edition, Czech Republic because they have a monster that is only waiting to leave the cage as coach and România has a very smart guy in strategies that is better than before.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

Our most important player is Rolf Peterelli because he is a good winger and when he play in Switzerland U21NT, he is free from the clutches of his evil owner King Karl.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

I like many coaches that will participate in this edition, I would say that I think that France might surprise because they have a very interesting coach, I'd love to be a tutor him if he wanted one day.
Tsolias with Germany if this time not to be in the group stage can even think of something else like winning the U21WC, but this time he has to forget the ghost of the group stage. My third choice would be... myself, because I believe many think I'm too old for this, so I want to prove I'm still a high-level competitor. ^^

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Sorry but don’t like to write about myself, but want to share with You my joy that for first time we have real life brothers (me and Artista) with two U21 teams on WC.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I was attracted by potential that Slovakia has and their low results. Let say I find it as a challenge to improve quality of Slovakia.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

Slovakia is on WC so it was some normal season.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

Suomi, Schweiz, Slovakia, Portugal a very balanced group. Each of us has similar chance to qualify for next stage. Who will go trough, of course Slovakia and Schweiz (cos Woody)

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

I would say Poland, Romania, Czech R.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

All players are same way important.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Potential…lot of teams have some chance to make some surprise at least 10. In general WC is a competition where we all try to make some big result.
Teams with less than 50 users have very low chance to come to some significant level, cos a small player base. All others have potential to reach the strongest each season (Communities between 50 and 200 users have of course smaller chance for that, than one with more than 200 users)

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Hello I’m occitanie (region of the south of France) but since 4 years i’m living in africa (Cameroun, Maroc) so my team ‘s play a football mixing 2 cultures.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

For the first time i had confidence in myself enough to be candidate and to have a new motivation.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

Our group wasn’t the most difficult but happy to finish leader with no defeat, in friendly only one defeat for the last match of the season, the players were allready on holydays. I don’t what France community expects but i think minimum 1/8 of finals

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

When i look the ranking Eesti and France are favorite but in football (and in sokker manager too) all can arrive.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

I’m not going to be original : Česká republika ; Romania and Türkiye

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

This information is top secret so i’m going to answer that the most important in my squad is the team.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

I don’t know enough the others teams so I say France

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

I'm Brazilian, I've played Sokker since 2010, and I've worked with Mexico U21, Mexico NT, Brasil NT and now Eesti U21. I played one World Cup for Mexico U21 and two for Brazil NT.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

Opportunity. I would like to return to work with U21 teams and the opportunity appeared to work in Estonia.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

We had a good season. Our season started in an excellent way, but when we focus on the U20 team we found some problems. The community participates just a bit in the forum, so... I do not have enough feedback to know their expectations.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

It is a group that has as characteristics the balance. We have no favorites for the title, but the four teams have quality. Moldova defeated Romania a few days ago.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

The favorites of always is Poland and Romania. Czech Republic completes the list.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

We have a good defense and a good coach :p

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Spain and Uruguay are two teams that have grown a lot last season and can make a good World Cup.

I do not think that other teams can overcome Poland and Romania in question of the quality of the team, but sokker allows to win even with a worse team. Some countries do good work, Czech Republic, Cuba, Bulgaria, Belgium, etc. Others depend on luck to have a strong team.

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Ciao! My name is George, I am 43 years old and are from Romania. I played football and I was an arbiter, but I stayed at the coach stage in sokker.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I have been the coach of Moldova for some time and now I can say that I am Moldavian. We chose Moldova because we all speak the same language easier to communicate.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

As I said, I'm already old here. It's hard for me to make a mark on last season's evolution because we had better seasons. The fact that we qualify for the World Cup is unprecedented. My friends congratulated and encouraged me. We have the support of all. We only have ZEII left to join us

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

All qualified teams are valuable after the matches are decided by the managers' inspiration. I'm probably leaving with the last chance but I hope to finish the first position: D

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

Three teams? Valoric Romania and soul Moldova. Unless they are definitely one of the 30 remaining teams.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

In my team it's hard to find an important player. Moldova has a small number of users and that means there are few players. We have no individual values. We have ambition and hope to be lucky

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

All teams that are seen as infrequent can give their calculations over the head. That's how it is in real football. If you're already thinking about the finals, do not go through the groups. I personally hope Moldova is one of the surprises. I did not schedule to win the tournament, but I do not mind if this happens

Any words you want to tell the community?

First of all, I congratulate you for your work and I want to apologize for the delay of the answers. Then I wish them all success in life and in everything they wanted. And if Moldova wins the Cup it will not be upset (jokes!) In fact, it's better to get upset and we win :))))

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Hello, my name is Michele and I am 39 years old. I live in Italy in a city called Dolo, near Venice, where a megaparty will occur for celebrating the victory of u21 World Cup of sokker. In real life I have got a job, a wife, a daughter and a dog, I spend my free time writing bullshits on sokker forums or watching football matches on tv lately. My childhood idol is coach Zdenek Zeman known as “Maestro”, creator of miracle Foggia with his magnificent football in the 90’s (tactic 4-3-3)

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I decided to try this adventure of coaching because of Italy recent disappointing results. I was even bored to watch absurd modules like 5-2-2-1 or 5-2-wing-2. I want to bring wonderful football to sokker like “Maestro” did for Serie A in the 90’s.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

Last season was successful: show on the pitch and on the bleachers, finally even families are back at the sokker stadiums. Having good results and finding out new talents. Alvisio Palpacelli was unknown player before my coming, I have found him out and called him and he thanked me scoring a lot of goals. He is very valued now, it looks like Real Madrid is going to buy him. It’s a pity he is 22 years old now, he will not join World Cup. Community is divided about Michele79: many people think about failure, other ones think will be a success. But everybody will jump on the bandwagon.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

I don’t think about other teams, other teams should think about Italy.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC.

In addition to my Italy, I bet on Cuba cause beautiful women there and Holland for coffee shops.

Who is the most important player in your squad? Why?

The most important player is the goalkeeper Archimede Roversi, of course. He is single parent (he has got 2 sons already), in addition to be Italy player he also works as barman in the evenings and as workman in the nights. But he always has a smile for everybody in the locker room.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

The real surprise will be my 4-3-3. We will mark the end of the wing who passes to the striker scoring with a header, on sokker. A boredom that continue since many years. All national teams are on the same level, tactic will make the difference.

Hello, It's my third season as selector of Bosna i Hercegovina U21 national team. That's also my first job as a coach of any national team on sokker. In private, I'm 19 years old student of electrical engineering. I play sokker since I was 10, but my actual club is my second one, because I wasn't so active in past.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I wanted to help my country to become bigger on sokker map and I decided to become U21 coach and one day I hope that I will become coach of A team.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

I can say that I'm satisfied with results in official games, because we have qualified for World Cup. Srbija and Danmark was very strong rivals so it wasn't surprise to lose a games against them. I also like the way we played against "small" teams. I don't care about results in friendly games and I could only be angry if some of my young players become injuried. People in my country expect from this team to reach the knock-out system, but people from other countries don't see us with more than 1 point in this tough group. We will give our best to worthily represent our nation.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

This group can be very interesting. There are no favorits, and there are no outsiders. I hope that my team will go through and I will also be happy if Hrvatska become that second team. Unfortunately, reality can easily be different.

I am a software developer, specialized in business Intelligence, i live alone and i am 36. Having my fifth and last season as the U21 Uruguay Head Coach.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I love my country, i love the game, i like very much the category, and he have impreoved a lot since we started in this responsability so is very gratify

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

Excellent, the best qualifiers that i participated and a very good preparation for the WC generation, half of the team played in the starting lineup in the qualifys. Uruguay will fight for the WC, we are aiming to have our best performance in a WC.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

I my opinion is one of the hardest groups. Brasil maybe the best team in the 3rd position, they got a bad generation but this one is excellent as usual, Belgium have been a contender for a lot of season and is always in the top 10 and Osterrich has very good performances.

I am 31 years old and happily married. I am a logistic buyer for a petrochemical company. I have been coach for U21 of Kenya for many seasons, but all users are gone there so I wanted to have a new challenge in SK.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

I always wanted to give it a try once to be coach of my own country. I just needed to have enough motivation to do it as we all know this consumes quite some time every week.

You had not been the coach last season, do you think it can harm you in U21WC? What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

I hope not. I am definitely the coach with the least experience in this phase of the WC, but nevertheless , I play this game since 2005 so I think I know how the game works. You just need to have that little bit of luck as well when differences between top teams get so small.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

It’s a very challenging group and all teams are all bold to each other. I will not put myself in role of underdog. Being coach of Belgium, I have no option but to qualify for next round. Biggest opponent for me is Uruguay who can be a true surprise in this WC edition in my opinion.

Teams like Polska, and Romania will always be favorites but Uruguay could be a surprise I think.

Any words you want to tell the community?

I was surprised by the the shock and controverse my election was. I understand that the previous coach did quite well and he qualified the team for this phase of WC. Dissappointment after elections was without doubt huge which is understanding.. However, I did not really understand the very personal attacks to myself because I put myself as candidate. That’s what elections exist for in the end…

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

I don't need to introduce myself, lol :P

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

It's my 11th season in a row here in Austria. When I took over the U21, we were worse placed than today and we only took part in every second World Championship. Slowly we try to play constantly and to support our U21 in the long run. It is therefore not bad that I now know Austria very well. Because I become U21 coach of Austria? Because I love it ;)

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

The qualification was not as good as I would have liked. We may have beaten Belgium already, but we played very stupid draws against supposed outsiders and we even lost unexpectedly to Indonesia. In any case, we thank Australia 1000 times for drawing against Indonesia in the last round.
The expectations of Austrian users are very low. I agree with that. We are very happy to be back again. I personally would like to be able to survive the first round.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

This is an exciting group. We already know Belgium (by the way, it is a scandal that the position of the coach has been changed, I'm sorry Charles_Kurz!). In any case, we have shown that we can beat Belgium. South American teams Brazil and Uruguay are strong opponents. Making a prediction here is certainly not easy, because I have the feeling that anyone can beat anyone. Luck, weather and tactics will decide the games!

Hello Coach! Please tell us a few words about yourself!

Hello everyone, as you have not changed almost anything from the last cup, I will seem repetitive. I am retired after 30 years of service in aviation, I live in Cruzeiro in the interior of the state of São Paulo.
I have been in Sokker for 10 years and have been in various positions and tasks: Tutor, Promoter and and current as Moderator, I directed the Brazilian team in the last World Cup with 6th position. I got my team CFC promotion for 1st div last season, a lot of planning work to achieve great achievements.

Why have you become U21 coach of this country?

It was a feeling that I could contribute more directly to the national team of my country.

How would you evaluate your last season? (Qualifications and friendilies) What can people expect from your country in the competition and what the community of your country expects?

We had some difficulties for classification, because there were some situations that I had direct participation and others did not. For example I had to miss a period due to health, and we ended up having not so good result, complicating a little the classification. Another problem was due to the large number of players with low form. As for the friendships, I believe that I continue to cultivate them in the best way.

What do you think about your opponents in the group? Who will go through?

I think it's a difficult group which we will have to dedicate a lot if we want to qualify. In my opinion pass Brazil and Belgium.

We know that football is collective, however there is always that player that can make a difference, so I can say is Sandrinho de Carvalho.

Which teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition? In your opinion, the other U21 teams are coming at the level of the strongest teams?

Romania, Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary, Belgium, Croatia. I think so, there are some teams that have already leveled and may surprise in the WC.

Any words you want to tell the community?

We have a great challenge ahead, now it's time to put into practice all those knowledge and strategies acquired during the preparation phase, from now on the mistakes do not have forgiveness and the one who misses less will get the prize.

Expert Previews

We went behind the opinions of coaches and U21 scouts about the 15th edition of U21 World Cup!

Ortwin (ostulc's right hand and main assistant)

What do you hope this edition of the U21 World Cup?

Second gold medal in a row for the Czech republic. More enthusiasm and activity on the forum. And a lot of fun (repeated joke is no longer funny, but choosing theKarsten as one of the experts is the exception that proves the rule).

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC and tell me why you think so.

Poland is strong as always and the Czech republic has one of the best generations ever (and good tactics). The third team with good squad and coach must be Romania!

Which of the weaker teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition and tell me why you think so.

Finland already surprised me, I didn't know they were wealthy enough to bribe their way to the World Cup.

Tell us which coach you think will be the U21WC's big surprise and what coach will be the big disappointment.

Big surprise? Ostulc! Three former champions (Pavoniana, Ford Kuga, Woody) were unable to reach the quarter-finals in their next campaign. I hope we will do better. :D

And big disappointment? Woody and theKarsten! They are chickenhearted enough to accept 5:0 defeat to avoid bigger humiliation. I guess we will see something like this already in the first round of the group stage. :D

Tell us three active U21 managers from the current U21WC edition you respect and tell us (briefly) the reasons you admire them.

Tsolias, Woody, ostulc - the reason remains the same as in the previous expert preview.

Tell us three other managers, who are not present in this U21WC edition and the reasons you respect them.

Should I repeat myself once again? No, I have to find someone else.

1) Mysi - he is literally invisible, but when the World Cup starts and our U21 NT needs him, he always comes back to help us. A great tactician, together with ostulc they are unstoppable! And he has a great sense of humour. :P

2) Blackx - another member of our U21 NT staff. Even though his team is only 15 months old, he made incredible progress both as a scout and a tactician.

3) Magistr - his team trains our national team midfielders and defenders for years. An example of a manager who is willing to sacrifice the results of his team for the sake of our NT. Such people are indispensable for us.

What does one person need to be a good U21 coach?

In the short run one needs strong squad and good tactics to use players' skills to the full potential. In the long run the coach has to cooperate with the community to build the squad.

On top of that I appreciate if coach provides community with match previews, statistics, competitons and so on. For example new coach of Polish senior NT, Pablo.Klucze, pleasantly surprised me! This may be the first time I regret not to be part of the Polish community. :P

Any words you want to tell the community?

Sokker is dying, but as long as Woody prepares this amazing guide and people discuss here about surprising results, best players, best tactics and national team coaches do their best to win the tournament, this game is alive. Thanks to all the people who make playing this game so enjoyable.

And special thanks to the Czech community. This is my 10th season as a scout of the Czech U21 NT and together we managed to build one of the strongest teams ever. I enjoyed this ride and I am looking forward to the tournament. Go, ostulc, go! :D

Charles_Kurz (Played 2 U21WC as Coach)

What do you hope this edition of the U21 World Cup?

I hope it's a fantastic World Cup! We will have several coaches at the top, others on the rise and also the return of champions (as is their case). All ingredients needed for great confrontations.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC and tell me why you think so.

Česká republika U21: besides being the current champions, ostulc is finding its highest level as coach. We can expect him very motivated in search of the second gold trophy.

România U21: G11 has matured a lot in the tactical part, in addition, he is already accustomed to a high level team that has in his hands. He will do everything to not lose the gold trophy again.

Hrvatska U21: Croatia have a good generation in their hand. His coach, djimi, is quite experienced and I believe it's time for him to show his full potential. Being eliminated in the group stage in the last World Cup is one of the possible motivations for the current edition, will do everything to prevent it from happening again.

Which of the weaker teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition and tell me why you think so.

I believe Crna Gora U21 could be a surprise in this Cup again. After the fantastic campaign of Del P1er0 in the XIII edition and the participation of Artista in the last edition, I imagine that with a little dedication it might surprise in Group A.

Tell us which coach you think will be the U21WC's big surprise and what coach will be the big disappointment.

Big surprise: I think Del P1er0 with Slovensko U21 could again be a big surprise in the World Cup. After being out of the last World Cup, Del P1er0 has a lot of potential to show again a great performance and lead his team to the final stages.

Big disappointment: Unfortunately (and I hope to be wrong) that the great disappointment of the World Cup will be Tony Madeira, coach of Brazil U21. He struggled with a not difficult WCQ group and did not show good results in the friendly preparations during the season. Friendly is friendly and WC is WC. I hope criticism serves as a motivation.

Tell us three active U21 managers from the current U21WC edition you respect and tell us (briefly) the reasons you admire them.

Slamtam - Österreich U21: I admire and respect much the work of slamtam in front of Austria. We've always had very tough and balanced matches. Just by being the only one to beat the world champion in the last edition we have to stay and watch their performance.

Woody - Schweiz U21: We're personal friends, so it's even hard to talk about. Of much criticized to be champion of the world, has a genius a little difficult that ends up annoying a lot of people. He has already shown his potential by reaching a final with Switzerland himself and being world champion with Poland.

General - Cuba U21: Another who has a very difficult genius to deal with. He is making another great administration with Cuba, small community and with few users, has been taking all the potential of his team. The only care he must take is not to fall into predictability.

Tell us three other managers, who are not present in this U21WC edition and the reasons you respect them.

winner4739: After an epic classification and reaching the eightfinals in the last edition, he was not able to qualify with Colombia for the current edition. He is a coach that I respect for his ability to recover and communicate with the communities he represents. Besides, of course, the great confrontations we've had.

rohamkacsa: Made an excellent campaign in the qualifiers with Slovenija U21. Coach with great experience in World Cups (holder of two Bronze trophies with Hungary), is a great lack for the competition.

Mison: He achieved the unprecedented fact of taking Indonesia to the World Cup in the last edition, reaching 4 points and only missed out on the final stages because of the goal difference. He kept up chances to participate in this edition until the last round, achieving great results against favorites Belgium and Austria, but unfortunately ended up stumbling in the last round and was disqualified. He has already shown potential (without using horrible fields :p) and I believe that with a bigger national team he can perform better in the future.

What does one person need to be a good U21 coach?

To be a good U21 coach need to believe in yourself and not be so proud as to not accept the criticism of the people around you or the community you are representing yourself for. In addition, need to be a great administrator and have a good dialogue with your community and with the coaches of your national team players.

Any words you want to tell the community?

Have fun with the XV edition of the World Cup. :)

Andreasson (Played 2 U21WC as Coach)

What do you hope this edition of the U21 World Cup?

I hope, that we see great games. And I like it, when "small" teams beat the big ones. So hopefully there will be some surprises...

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC and tell me why you think so.

Polska, Romania (as always) and Czech Republic. It is crazy, how strong Czech Republic is - with "just" 400 managers.

Which of the weaker teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition and tell me why you think so.

Switzerland - we have a great coach ;) And Vietnam. With Trần Mạnh Thiện they have a strong wapon.

Tell us which coach you think will be the U21WC's big surprise and what coach will be the big disappointment.

Phuu, hard. I have to give some flowers to you woody. An experienced coach - you already showed in the past what you can reach with Switzerland. So: surprise woody. And the big disappointement? Ostulc and crisr - but only because they have to reach the final. Otherwise this would be a disappontement. They are both great coaches, so don`t get me wrong ;)

Tell us three active U21 managers from the current U21WC edition you respect and tell us (briefly) the reasons you admire them.

Slamtam (Austria) - he is working in Austria for a long time, and he is still enthusiastic. And: he made Austria stronger and stronger...
Then tsolias (Germany) - he has a Project to make the younger Players in his country bether. A Project, that needs so much time. Crazy one, this tsolias ;)
And the third one.. I let this place open (the next world-champion-coach can get this place ;)).

Tell us three other managers, who are not present in this U21WC edition and the reasons you respect them.

Oh there are so many. I respect every manager, that is playing sokker for 10+ years and still loves the game. We are a little comunity here and thats what I like.

What does one person need to be a good U21 coach?

In my eyes you have to be adaptable. Sometimes you have great defenders - next season there are strong strikers. You have always to find the right tactic for the players you have. In A-nationalteams this is different. Normaly you find there strong players for every position.

Any words you want to tell the community?

Enjoy the world-cup. Watch some matches and have fun. Thats the sense of sokker :)

rohamkacsa ( Slovenija U21 Coach)

What do you hope this edition of the U21 World Cup?

I hope, that we can see many intresting matches, good tactics, some "new faces", some surprise and some melodrama.

Tell me 3 teams you believe they can win the U21WC and tell me why you think so.

Romania,Poland and Czech republic. They have stronger squad than the others and have more player on the same level or near to the same. I think Czech republic will win :)

Which of the weaker teams do you think have the potential to make some surprises in this edition and tell me why you think so.

In this season are very good teams from America. Cuba,Uruguay can make a surprise, France and Crna Gora can be intresting from Europe too.

Tell us which coach you think will be the U21WC's big surprise and what coach will be the big disappointment.

sebap17 can make a history with Uruguay. the team is strong yet and with good matces he can make a big surprise on the WC.

The big disappointment: i wait this from Del P1er0. Her is a good coach but i think Slovensko is weaker than Crna Gora and the expectations are too high yet :(

Tell us three active U21 managers from the current U21WC edition you respect and tell us (briefly) the reasons you admire them.

Woody: He is a very good manager. I am aware all time the work of Woody.
He is good in team management, make nice tactics, and work a lot of for the community.

ostulc: he is a very good manager i think when he will make this good work further he can be a recorder in the reesults with U21 teams.

tsolias: He work very hard with the team and for the community too. He can reach/and reached nice results with a not so espesially teams.

Tell us three other managers, who are not present in this U21WC edition and the reasons you respect them.

Charles_Kurz: he is a very good manager. i think he is the second best manager in Brasil after Woody.

winner4739: he is a good manager too, but his WCQ geoup was hard with Schweiz and Croatia. Columbian team is good, but not enough withouth luck.

Pavoniana and Ford Kuga: they are a very good managers with great result. Witouth them the WC isnn't the same than before.

What does one person need to be a good U21 coach?

Craetivity, good raction for the unexpected situations, need to built newer and newer teem in all season. Good team and suad management, this can be some time more important than the "epic tactic". The squad can change a lot of per seasons, so often need to bulit new tactics for the team, and not a team for tactics. Pressure situations in thee team must be solved, so the coach must be very flexible.

Any words you want to tell the community?

Lets see a good WC, with epic matcehes. Lets go coaches :)
Good luck to all!

Curiosities

Some curiosities that exist in the U21 World Cup.

The curse of the World Champions

The last 3 World Champions (Pavoniana, Ford Kuga and Woody) when they went to defend their world title in the next edition, they did not manage to pass the eightfinals.

Pavoniana: World champion with Belgium in Edition XI, eliminated in group stage with Italy in edition XII.

Ford Kuga: World champion with Belgium in Edition XII, eliminated in eightfinals with Belgium in edition XIII.

Woody: World champion with Poland in Edition XIII, eliminated in eightfinals with Poland in edition XIV.

Now the champion of the last edition, ostulc, will have your chance to defend your world title in this edition, will the curse continue?

The ostulc-Woody era

In the last 4 editions, in 3 U21WC finals Woody or ostulc were present, and in the XIII edition the decision was between the two and the winner was Woody who at the time was the coach of Poland by the result of 2-1.
There was only one edition (XII) in which there was not one of the last 4 editions, the reason? Both were not coaching some U21 team at that time.

U21 World Cup XI - Woody plays the final with Switzerland. (losing the U21WC)

U21 World Cup XII - both are not coaching some U21 team.

U21 World Cup XIII - both they faced in the final, (Woody with Poland wins against ostulc with Czech Republic)

U21 World Cup XIV - ostulc plays the final with Czech Republic (wins the U21WC)

Will we see one of the two again in the final? Or will this two coaches will meet again in the final like in the past?

The most competitive U21 World Cup edition in history?

In this edition, we have 4 coaches who have participated in a U21WC final in the previous editions and 6 coaches who have at least 1 trophy in a U21 World Cup.

Woody and ostulc played 2 U21WC finals as coach, GREUCEANU11 and theKarsten played 1 U21WC final as coach. In total is 6 U21WC finals participated.

general and pabloaimar21 have 1 bronze trophy as coach, GREUCEANU11 and theKarsten have 1 silver trophy as coach, Woody have 1 silver trophy and 1 gold trophy as coach and ostulc have 1 bronze, silver and gold trophy as coach.
In total we have 9 trophies (2 gold trophies, 4 silver trophies and 3 bronze trophies).
