What part you don't understand? Basically I just said what you said 2 posts before me :-)
2008-06-25 01:03:29
And is there a difference between the difference when building the first 1000 seats/benches or the second 1000 seats/benches?

If I understood you correctly then the rules say: Be aware - the price of seats grows proportionally with the size of stand. It might be cheaper to build two smaller stands than a single bigger one.

no you didn't understand it correctly then ;-) I say: difference between the difference.

example:

say:
first 1000 seats are 8€
first 1000 benches are 6€

difference: 2€

second 1000 seats are 10€
second 1000 benches are 7€

difference 3€

then there would be a difference in the difference.

That's the question :)

Ah... Now I understand. And... I don't know. :)

But it doesn't really matter that much, since the pricedifference when building bigger is not that big at all.

The benefit of the roof is in my opinion not the higher price on tickets - which is only relevant when you pay for seats versus benches also. It's the extra crowd, who'd otherwise have stayed away due to the weather-factor. And even the slightest clouds keep some at home, while rain keeps a lot from coming by you stadium.

absolutely agree with you

..I do believe it only works when you have an allmost entire or entire roofed stadium.

also crucial thing!

well I just want to know to make a calculation :-)

Someone with a free corner or side on their stadium can easily make a few tests. Just dont do like I did, once I wanted to help someone with a similar question, and click "accept". :)

The only difference is the price of increasing the terraces to then add the seats.
Each seat and roof to go with that seat will always cost the same.

e.g. expanding from 4000 seats under cover to 8000 seats under cover:
Project execution: 25 000 $ <---- stays the same no matter what you do
Expansion of terraces to 8 000 places: 160 000 $ <----- this is the bit that increases with size of stand
Assembly 4 000 of seat fastenings : 100 000 $ <--- stays the same however big the stand is
Assembly 4 000 seats : 180 000 $ <--- stays the same however big the stand is
Roof addition: 400 001 $ <--- stays the same however big the stand is
------------------------
Sum: 865 001 $

expanding from 8000 seats under cover to 12000 seats under cover:
Project execution: 25 000 $
Expansion of terraces to 12 000 places: 200 000 $
Assembly 4 000 of seat fastenings : 100 000 $
Assembly 4 000 seats : 180 000 $
Roof addition: 400 001 $
------------------------
Sum: 905 001 $

I know, but it still doesn't make a comparison between benches and seats.
2008-06-25 12:02:09
Well, I cant test the benches as my stadium is full of seats but seats are always the same price and the roof is always the same price so I think we can safely assume that benches are always the same price too :)

The terraces is the only part that increases in price with the size of the stand.
