Its a very nice video, but i dont really understand it. As i can see it there, most of the AD history Greece was part of the Byzantine empire. So its like Egypt, part of the Roman empire, would post a video with their history ruling over Europe.

It is interesting, but its just a fiction, i dont know how accurate it is, but anyways, The Roman Empire has conquered Greece and not vice-versa. Greek culture has influenced all Europe, no doubt about it, but its a bit funny to show a video with greek territories, which were romans after all.

I am not a historical but If I understand well, the map shows the time period after the fell of the Roman Empire.
Roman Empire was split and became a partition of the East and West Roman Empire in order to be managed better. However, the Western half of the Roman empire soon fell. The Byzantine Empire was the surviving part.
The areas that were occupied by the romans were not greek, but since the roman empire fell, these territories that left to byzantine empire from a point after managed by greeks. the new territories that were conquered or those that lost were not run by romans any more, but by the greeks.It was a physical evolution after the leaving of the Romans because the majority of its citizens of Byzantium were Greeks and As time went by, they adopted more and more Greek customs, the business affairs of Byzantium were conducted in Greek. The formal language of the state was the greek language and From 1054 they were mainly Orthodox Christians. As a result they adopted more and more Greek customs, and by the time the Empire fell , their identity was Greek.
Anyway, I suppose this time lapse map its not make by someone Greek, also they have and others interesting maps

I see, but it should've been a "greek influence" map, instead it looks like as "greek territory" map.
