I support this project!, I hope it gets made!.

It is useless to tell them all those things. They have already made up their mind and don't accept other stands of views.

No, we are just talking about something completely different. But, "they" just don't get that. I am happy to repeat myself (even though I have promised to stay away twice now - sorry about that :))

@Fabbrogas and Hill: I hope he makes a succesful game. Of course there is room for other games. I, personally, am 11 years older than when I joined Sokker, and I am not shopping for a new game. If Sokker somehow reset, I wouldn't start over here either. I would just quit. So, for me, that is what happens IF they should some day fail to show up and fix the servers. Which, Charles Hill, they did within 24 hours, moved transfers a.s.o.. I call that fixing, yes. The server was down - and then the server was up again. The game doesn't just stop, like some people want us to believe.

There is nothing wrong with this game. I think THAT is the difference between "us" and "them". And yes, of course I could play 2 games, have 2 web pages open a.s.o. I'm not sure I understand why you ask, though...

What I am objecting to is the fact that ila-a pretends to care about Sokker.org, to revolutionize it, save it, save us all, the community, implement changes we would all love, tutorial videos, new design a.s.o.
He tells us we have to do something, that the development of Sokker has stopped, that the leaders have lost vision and dedication and that this game will die. So he may have a mercy killing in mind, don't know. But helping it die, that's the help he offers. Here, in-game. I think that's wrong.

I am not the one who is not able to have 2 web pages open and play 2 games at the same time. It's him. And he wants you to do the same. It's so obvious, isn't it?

With that said, I have to accept that MODs have no problem with this thread being here, even if it actively is searching for players and testers and coders for a game that will be based on Sokker and will actively try to beat it for its users and features.

Quote ila-a #4 in this thread:

"And this old sokker is outdated platform, you can't even build upon it, so its better to start fresh, and obviously they don't want to develop a new game, so we will do it."

I rest my case :)

i find nothing seriously wrong with sokker and that's why i still play it alongside f**tstar until now... if the DEV really bored with these games they simply just shut it off for good but they didn't. after all you don't change a winning team didn't you?

ps: but i do find it funny to create a new game by saying a certain game is dead. just create it. no need to saying something about other game. and i don't know in IT/gaming world, if creating a game based on another game's features is having a copyright issue or not..

You are free to think about it what you want. I know what DEVs do for Sokker last seasons, in staff that is even more clear. That is a fact. Which doesn't mean I don't like Sokker anymore, I think I have fought for the game as not many others have, also to make my point to the DEVs. And yes, I think another game like Sokker would be great, all games end at one point, hopefully a new game as good as Sokker can be made before that happens with Sokker. I don't know when Sokker ends. I thought the DEVs disappeared for good this time, but all of the sudden a post from greg.

Can you point me to his post?

I never really read the international forums. It may be part of the reason why I see no need to panic. This game was great last season, and I don't know why it should not be exactly as great the coming season.

I do agree that some new features would be welcome, I agree that old junior system was better than the new. I would love to be able to rewind/replay in games. I haven't seen a free kick goal in 10+ seasons, triple divine scorers can't score a penalty, divine passers can't execute a corner kick. I'm not saying it is flawless, I'm just saying it's not broken, not dead. Wishing for features that aren't here is not a game ruining feature. And if they never ever implement anything new, it's still great.

But, what did he say?
2016-05-12 22:16:16
Post was on staff forum, not on open forum so you can't read it. Don't think any of the DEVs post comments in the open forum for many years by now.

He posted that it is the DEVs intention to delete all inactive teams/leagues end of this season. And he asked what managers will think about the new structure 1-2-4-8-etc, as most managers will go down 1 league in this structure.

What would be the benefit or purpose of changing the league structure?. If its working fine as it is right now?. I suppose it is made so that all league winners promote automatically and second places play promotion games?, right?

Right now in lower divisions there are too many bots.

For example I'm playing in third league in England and I believe I don't have any human opponents, or just new born.

With the new structure there will be less second division and lower team of 2nd will be part of third and best of third will then compete in a proper division with them.
Lower third division team will be relegated in fourth, probably last one, full of new born, inactive or BOTs.

Make sense.

Flip side is that reducing the second league it will be a "second" first league and only one promotion and two relegations make the flow slower than now.
More competitive but slower.
IMHO if you are in a "good" NT like the Polska, Romanian, Italian, Turkish and so on in three/four season COULD be impossible to fight for the third league because they will be all aligned to 70 as average marking and probably random will decide most of the seasons. Last point is that it's not clear how sponsor and supporters will react to a programmed relegation and it could be another blocking factor for the lower league inhabitants.

These are IMHO biggest pros and cons. Let's see maybe I'm totally wrong

Anyway the best solution with new structure will be
1st: directly promoted
2nd: qualification match
5th & 6th: qualification match (against 2nd of lower divisions)
7th & 8th: directly relegated
I investigated and if you look into the Argentinian league they have all this kind of feature that means from a DEV/CODING point of view, everything would be already existing. Just need to decide what rule to apply.
2016-05-13 16:37:42
But the Argentinian league is still the same as any other:

División 1 (1) Primera División
División 2 (4)
División 3 (16)
División 4 (64)
División 5 (128)
División 6 (128)

The only difference is the 6th division, which I would bet if 100% full of bots.

check again and compare div 4. and 5. its 2x not 4x
2016-05-13 18:00:44
But this has always been the case, they expand / reduce leagues in "halves", or even "quarters", until necessary, so bottom divisions don't necessarily get the x4 structure. The proposal mentioned above would extend the x2 everywhere. I remember the discussions when first proposed, and i also remember that some countries would have fewer bots and others would have more bots, depending on the number of actual users.
In any case, Argentina is heading towards some restructuring for sure, as it was one of the countries that grew the most during the temporary mass inflow and outflow of "zero-day" users last year. Before that, we had a league structured reform in the lower levels that did reduce the number of bots drastically.

i hope to create this game soon
sokker is more than ridicilous now,is tragic!

Sorry for my bad English.

This new game will have the same aspect of sokker?

I have some suggestions to make a new game, not a "sokker 2". It should be harder to get a player with lots of 17 levels in players level.

The way that sokker ir, the top teams seems very similar. So maybe we should have much more levels, like until 50, for example and the players will get more variations, like player with lots of speed and players with lots of technique, but with less speed.

Tho way we could have different types of teams, some will play more in counter attack, others with more ball possession.

Other point that I think that should be made is separations between play and train.

This way we could train young players to make our team. Maybe we have a system were we have 100% of training, that could be distributed between the abilities of the player, like 30% playmaking, 20% passing and 50% technique. To make it work properly, maybe should be harder to get talented players.

At last, I suggest a scout system. The chance of we know a player level depends on the level of the scout and the "fame" of the player. This fame could be based on the league that he plays, if he is on nt squad, or other information.

That's it. I don't know how to implement my ideas or if they could work, but i think this ideas could make a game that seems a little more realistic.

Again, sorry for my bad English and my foolish ideas.

I disagree.
that's the core of the hardness of sokker.
2016-05-29 16:38:46
I think that's doesn't make a big difference.

In the end, everybody is in the same condition and the hardness isn't train only players who play, but get the best players for the best price and train them in the best way.

Of course in my way, we train more player, so this why should be harder to get talented players.
2016-05-29 16:53:27
But for the wrong reasons. We could also introduce the restriction that at least 5 players should have an odd number for age. It would be even harder, and also absolute nonsense.
The playing-training link reduces a lot the tactical freedom - something you quickly realize when coaching a NT or playing arcade matches, where training doesn't get in the way.
