Speed skaters are also good cyclists.
Yeah, you are right. There is also fantastic example - Martina Sáblíková. She became olympic champion for 3 times in speed skating, now she is going to compete in Summer olympic games in cycling. Her coach believes, she will win some medal on the bike this time.

Yep, she is one of the best examples indeed :) And it would be nice if she wins a medal ... but only if she doesn't beat a Dutch cyclist ofcourse ;)

When i saw Kittel finishing today my thoughts have been like "What a beast" . Opponents looked like juniors
compared to this monster...

Anyway, i cheered to Arnaud today... I hope he will take some stage.

Over 575.000 cycling fans have visited the Giro d'Italia in Gelderland, so another very successful start of a UCI World Tour event in the Netherlands! Last year's success was the start of the Tour de France in the city of Utrecht with almost 1 million visitors.

The start of the Giro in Gelderland was the 6th start of 1 of the three Grand Tour events in the 21st century in a foreign country, no other country had the honor to organize this many starts. Belgium and the UK both have organized 3 starts.

For the next UCI World Tour event, Utrecht wants to be the host of the start of the Vuelta a España in 2019, so the city will have hosted all starts of the three Grand Tour events.

After 4 days in the Netherlands and 3 stages, the Giro is back in Italy.
