Subject: Mentors / Promote USA

2006-06-26 15:56:10
Hey guys, lets get up a mentor program and/or some other programs to add participants to the USA.

I've brought over a few from HT... we need to do more.

Please post here if you'd be willing to be a mentor.

Also, if anyone from another country reads this who has had a successful campaign in their country to promote SK, post your ideas here too plz :)

I'll be a mentor!

I helped out a couple teams before, one is still active, the other hasn't logged in for a month.

Well 50% isn't toooo bad, should we let you try again? :)
2006-06-26 16:06:24
Yes for sure,

Count me in!

I can mentor a couple. Though I am often not available for programs such as AIM/yahoo I can do it via sk-mail or email. And when possible on AIM.

I will mentor, as well. Please, call me sensei.
2006-06-26 19:15:30
Yeah but you don't know what you're doing, sensei.

Cats he's #1 in USA, he's 3 games away from winning the ML undefeated.
2006-06-26 19:26:13
I was kidding, LOL
2006-06-26 21:38:14
I am 3 matches a way from winning A2 undefeated :D

I will promote to the ML though and get my rear end handed to me after it is kicked off.

Stokes will cause problems for sure.

You should mentor the newbies on how to create Stokes-like players.

Assuming he still has Stokes...

Did I just create a rumor???
2006-06-27 00:12:15
Well Stokes is getting old.....And I am thinking that I like training strikers.......and I have a couple of other strikers wanting a chance to step out of his shadow......so who knows.
2006-06-27 00:16:44
Seriously?
2006-06-27 00:22:53
I would estimate Stokes transfer price over $4.5 million, and the sky is the limit. Money is really building up in this game, and Stokes is one of the best strikers in the world.
2006-06-27 00:45:03
That's true but not because he's getting old. That's more of a joke. Surprised to hear experienced managers with that sort of perception. There's no point in selling one of the best strikers in the world because he'll be turning 23 in 4-5 weeks from now, unless his skill is deemed insufficient for your team as you can produce better to replace him quickly :/. Players don't start to detriorate until around 30, for that reason the average age will pick up as players like Stokes who can't be surpassed would be kept, only their training rates would slow down. That's why I thought he was kidding.

But I agree with Billy if it's just for training strikers, Stokes would be getting older in that respect, if that's what gives you more joy than having one of the most potent weapons.

Not questioning the decision, just curious as to the reasoning. Maybe I don't know something as I'm less experienced :/.
