It looks like I'm one of the 28 new users to join in the last year while the world population shrunk significantly :|

I played SK (plus) like 8 years ago, was never very good (stayed in B-league for two seasons), and fell away because of some of the crummy improvement/implementation issues... However, I've continued going through phases where I would wonder what had happened to the game. I tried to apply several times, but always got rejected for a "duplicate team" even though my old team no longer existed. I'd send an email to the admins, and never received responses. I'd give up for a year or so, and get a wild hair to try again...

Now I've actually joined again; immediately got placed into a garbage B-League; won my first two games... wow. I'm probably going to be able stick in B-league (which I definitely didn't expect); have basically realized no one plays anymore; and I'm actually building my own program on top of SK, by parsing through my own players and building charts for talent/etc (just to at least have something to enjoy a little).

I've not yet sprung for Plus - simply because I honestly don't know if I'll stay very long... since there's no one to interact with.

Very sad day.

There are still few of us that are active. We are in the ML though. Some are in the A-leagues. I actually took about a 2 year break from the game and came back. Now i'm semi-active but still love the game. If you want more activity add the England/Scotland/Canada or other English forums. They are usually a little more active than us...

The England forums are always fun to get a certain individual riled up. Plus they have Gibbage.

unfortunately in the nations with few users the game is a bit more boring, especially if you are in a series with many BOT users.
If I can suggest a way to increase your fun, I can tell you to invest in the youth school. The fact that there are few users increases the chances of having your young players in the national team.

Managers like Vondocha, Mr.T. , Jcdyer, stevengibney, jefe6801, fckuba have many players in the U21 team. Some of these players are trained by them, other players are sold and the fact that they have the flag, increases the value of the sale.

For "fun" I've been working through the existing API endpoints the devs have available for developers (http://online.sokker.org/xmlinfo.php).

It doesn't look like anything has been added to the document in a LONG time. Do you guys think that's because they haven't added more API locations/data, or is it that they haven't documented them, but they exist?

Armed with the limited information I remember from when I played before, I thought I'd work on getting a decent crop of coaches and trainees for me to stick near the top of B and get some good supporters/stadium tickets for income. With a 2500 capacity stadium and decent coaches, there's not a lot of leftover weekly funds for a good junior coach and school.

This is only my 2nd week back, but I figure after next season I'll be making okay money - and hopefully will be able to sell a couple of my trainees.

Plan (for now)

Right now I'm almost breaking even and don't really want to risk bankruptcy, lol. I spent about 100k getting 22 trainees for Pace (with decent secondaries in varried positions) and coaching staff. I paid a bit more for a few young players that would actually help me win games in league matches while determining their talent... I hope that works out okay.

I plan on selling most of that young crop after season bonuses - but keeping my top 10 talented mid/defender trainees for tech/defense/passing/playmaking training over the next season or two.

Hopefully by selling some of those younger guys I'll be able to fill out non-trained positions with higher skilled players, even if they're older... which will help stack wins.

What do you guys think?

But, the most fun I've had for now has been hooking into the API and building tools for myself to watch various aspects of how my players are doing...

I think that in the course of a season you will be promoted to the next series and you will start earning more weekly, and you will be able to win the youth.

you already have experience, you ascend immediately ...

I've seen that you have taken many young players, you will make sure of the gains!

Hi guys,i`m back :) ,i played sokker from 2005-2016-7 in Romania,but i didn`t log in anymore and lost the team,i have some spare time now and i decided so start again from 0 .

Welcome again. Today's forums are not the same as before, but who knows, maybe one day will come back.

We almost have more leagues than users now.

Just wanted to shout out to everyone... I'M BACK!

I wish they would give new users a huge cash bonus for sticking around their first season.. Anything to make it more interesting for new users...

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to building my team this year and shaking the the Majors in a couple seasons... So be ware :)
