Only once, the substitution system is still as basic as ever.

Tad to Tad
I read in manual that if players don't play they don't train. But stamina doesn't require a player to play, right? 2 times I had a player who missed training but got jumps in stamina.

Also, iirc max number of coach assistants is 3. Is it worth getting a very bad assistant just to fill the spot?

- if they don't play, and they are an advanced trainee, they get 50% training. A non-advanced trainee will get a tiny bit of general training.
- Yes, stamina can happen on its own, apparently it's no longer worth actually training stamina as players will get what they need over the course of their career. Not to mention it can artificially inflate the player's value.
- Yes, get three assistants, even bad ones at first. Just try to get guys on the lower end of the wage scale for their ranking.

I am still hunting for a 3rd excellent assistant. Like you, I can't afford the uber talent trainees so I am trying to maximize my team's development with training.

I fully agree with islander. Better to have a third weaker assistant than none at all. Stamina is not worth training. I have three magic assistants, so the players develop well :)

"I have three magic assistants, so the players develop well :)"

So obnoxious LMAO

My understanding is assistants only help with general training. Could be wrong though. Seems like it’s only worth it if you have a massive surplus weekly. Therefore I only have 3 formidable assistants.

yeah, but that general training applies to all players, advanced or not, as far as I understand it.

but if norbert or anyone want to correct me on this - go ahead.

Yes, general training is on all skills that aren't apart of advanced training. I'd imagine most of general training is determined by the overall skill level of your head trainer, less so by your assistants. Considering how expensive 3 magical assistant coaches would be I don't see how that marginal improvement could possibly be worth it.

all the Polish users swim in zloty.

thank you all for your answers

What about this scenario - if I have 2 coaches, one formidable and one magical, (formidable coach has sum of skills lower than magical) and both have level 16 in a pace skill and I am training pace for all positions, which one is better to put as main coach and which one is better as assistant?
i.e. For main coach does the used skill only matter or are other skills also used for general side training like for assistants

I would use the magical guy as HC, because all those other unearthlies will help with general training for the advanced trainees, especially.

... at least I think.

The assistants, it literally doesn't matter what their individual skills are. The assistants and youth coach usefulness are determined solely by their overall rating.

hmm I was told for assistants both sum of skills and level matters for general training

Let's try this again. I was having some issues with uploading a photo

edit: Man, I just can't get the imgur to work today.

If you look at your training page (Training --> Training Report --> Details) you'll see it just puts your coaches combined with a general 'average training effectiveness'. I was trying to screen shot mine but this website isn't liking imgur. This is why I think only the overall matters on assistants.
