Once again, Australia performs as well as those teams ranked above, but will just miss out on qualification.

iIt could be interesting if you won; the decision would likely come down to the goal difference if Hellas secures the victory.

Unfortunately despite piling on shots against the weaker teams, we have been unlucky with conversion rates, so would need Slovensko to win, and win big, as well as us somehow winning big in our match to make up for the GD.
The system isn't quite right when a 3rd seed team has performed as well as a 1st seed team (in theory should be a group of 16 knockout stage team), but doesn't make it through to the next stage.

This was the same for Australia last qualification. Actually outplayed Azerbayacan in both matches, but got unlucky with conversion both times, which should have knocked them out and had us go through, then they ended up making the final of the U21 world cup. Crazy to think we outplayed them and they got silver.

I do think Slovensko has been the best team of the group though, or at least the hardest matches we have had.
