You should kept brill one as the main coach. It is perfect unless you have some GK wannabe ...

Simply - the magical coach has +10 skills which will probably raise total sum for assistant's training %,

Swap them and check it out.
For example, if you have 87% with brilliant coach as an assistant, with magical one you will probably get 88%*

Yeah you are correct, but the [12] in GK will help a bit with older GK keeping the goalkeeper skills longer + I'm sometime training my youth GK when I have a free spot for him (like now)

he's terrible of course and not trained well since the coach has only 12 but he is good enough for friendlies + will probably reach ~15/16 GK with time so he will be good enough to be my main GK with time

Yup, that make sense.

On the other hand, as we know how ridiculously cheap GK are these days, maintaining GK skill for older keepers is just a waste of time and wage money. If I had known the GK marked would collapse like it did, I would have never spend 25M to recruit 2 unearthly coaches 4 seasons before the recruiting update. I trained one GK and I have never sold him because of the marked for GK these days. So I invested millions to be able to have myself a self made top keeper which I could buy for peanuts while having An extra spot open for another field player. That update for keepers and coaches just destroyed about 30 to 35M on my savings. Not complaining here...just saying as it is.

Yeah I wouldn't look for main coach with GK, but [12] is not a big pull on the budget [5k euro difference weekly, 60k euro difference a season] and it allows me to low-key train a worthless own youth GK into a useful main GK, while having him as friendly/backup/bench GK over the seasons

For 60k a seasons it's a good bonus IMO
