Subject: Flash end

I would go discuss it in private, but i believe that this topic is important for much people of sokker community.


Apparently the Adobe Flash Player is ending. Is there some solution for it in progress?


ps: The Sokker is super divine for ending.

When is the ending date? Already revealed?

Soon you can kick out of the Junior School all those young players with more than 30 weeks :D

I wonder how long they are going to acceot Plus purchases, as Sokker is completely Flash and no news about changes to something else as Flash.

That’s what I was thinking about. Too close to flash end and no solid news about changing stuff on the game. :/

We can still use old browsers and flash version after dec 2020... we can expect less and less users and no new managers, but not yet the end of sokker...Maybe one-two years like that. So i keep alive my Young school :)

They are going to accept plus for as long as the game stays online. But they will not pay it back when they shut down te server.

if the game is no more in 6 months, what's the point of playing atm? :P

Is here anyone beside greg who can we contact about info of this matter? To ask if sokker is preparing for this and what our future might be...?

If there was, we would've known that allready...

not speculation, just check the news about the end of flash (just google it)

i recall that cca a year ago or maybe even more there was article in news section on login page which said that they were looking for someone to rewrite the game from flash to HTML5, but don't know if they had found someone...I hope that they won't let the game die like this..

Web Developer wanted!
We are seeking a Web Developer to carry out Sokker Manager web page modifications on selected user ideas or requests.
It is planned as an extra job for the programmer, 1-2 hours daily, 5 days a week. Also possible is an extra bonus eg. 10% of Sokker income rise after implementation of selected ideas.

An ideal candidate would meet these requirements:
- experience with developing web pages, proven with portfolio
- good knowledge of php programming
- experience with MySQL databases
- experience with at least one php framework
- active Sokker club manager and activity on forums

Notice that Sokker Manager website code is quite ancient, it was developed In 2003 and is not even object-oriented In most part. Ok, you have been warned :)

We are looking also for someone with Adobe Flash Animate CC knowledge to convert all Sokker Flash animations on the site to HTML5. Separate, one-time job only (also expected wage, CV and portfolio).
