Subject: [U21] World Cup XIX Guide

I played mainly with 4 defs as a I pretty much had one proper defender, who still would be too weak to play for Romania even in top form, not to speak about the poor form he had in the semifinal.. :) Seeing cristidinu say that they didn’t have competitive mids makes me smile, if I would’ve used only competitive players I would’ve had GK and a formation of 011. But obviously it’s all about what you’ve used to, smaller nations need to be able to cope with whatever pool of crap they have and bigger nations expect to have competitive players for each position.

And, to make sure I’m not mistaken, it’s not easy to win when you’re the favourite. Quite the opposite. And to do it twice, that’s impressive! :)

e: And @ Woody: Insane work on the analysis. The WC is over now so perhaps it’s time to step outside your house for a change now?! ;)

i dont remember Poland 5def, but what I was saying is that is the first time I've seen so many teams using 5def U21. It's no surprise to see that in WC final.

I (France) was completely helpless in wanting to play playmaking against 5def teams in this cup. I had never yet done in sokker a match with 0 shots :-) Without very high level midfielders I am forced to admit that it is better to "poor" the game.

You have balls of steel - if not wining the final, people would eat You because of those 8 DEF - but You won, so discusion is easy - Your plan was good.
