Subject: National match and training

Greg was also once quoted saying playing two full matches Will give nearly as close to max training as possible.

Exactly why my formula makes more sence!

maybe i'm wrong... but i had a player who needed 5 weeks from 10-11 pace while playing only 1 league match per week ( 90 min )... and the same player 2 years older needed 6 weeks from 15-16 pace while playing 1 league match per week + 90 min on U21 ... and i had the same coaches... if that's not the cause what else could it be ? and that's not the only exemple i can give

I have a nice player with technical training. He plays in U21 and league matches.
technical 13 180/343 (2 weeks technique)
technical 14 299/375 (2 weeks technique 2 weeks conditioning)
20 years old
technical 14 527/410 (2 weeks technique)
technical 15 499/449 (4 weeks technical)
technical 16 550/491 (5 weeks technique)

The fact that a player played 90 minutes in 2 matches cannot exceed 100% training. Is it true?

However, the rapid skill increase of my player; I thought it was about playing for the national team.

100% are 100% when is reached cannot be exceeded.
but he will increase faster than player that plays only championship game thats for sure.
we do not know other factors though your coaches and his talent

An important thing is "TALENT". Dont forget.
It´s not the same if the player has "TALENT 3", or "Talent 5".

Not all is 100% training.

I think all of you missed Raouls comment about training.
So, lets summarize his detailed comment:

90 min League or Cup = 95% (or if it fits better to you to calculate, 95 training points)
90 min friendly = 80% (80 training points)

According to old comment of Gregg on the past, about NT: about half of league match

That's all the information we have, plus all the information from the rules.

Can you point us out to his comment, please?
I must have missed that indeed... ;-)

I am too lazy to search, I am too old to remember if it was on topic "big changes are coming" or somewhere else and very sure about my ability to remember numbers, even if I am 47.
Or 48? .... ;P
2020-12-25 23:17:16
Hahaha... About to turn 50, let's keep it there :-p

I'll see where I might find it...
I do know he said something about THE NEW training system, where the combined [full league match + training spot] will be near full training...
But I'll try to look it up ;-)

Knowledge is power :-p

My players playing in the youth national team provide faster skill increase.
2020-12-25 23:46:59
It was definitely about the current training system.

Till that moment I trained my players with the 90-75 rule and I knew they get maximum individual training.
After Raouls comment about 95-80, I knew, that my players played the past seasons for about 5 minutes more than needed.
After that, my players get training according to 95-80 and they still continue skillups on expected times (and believe me, this is one of my sokker-strengths, to calculate the training needed for the next skillups)

I started recording 95-80 rule on my excel on previous season, week 5, June 2020. Raouls comment was before 25.06.20.. Maybe on May...

Ok... But it wasn't in the Big things coming up - topic... Just checked :-/
I'll look further on... You made me curious :-)

"You made me curious"

Me? Moi? I make you curious? Never, pas possible! I think you were always curious... ;P
