Lanel Zev, age: 21, height: 160 cm
value: 26 625 000 Rs., wage: 242 500 Rs.
club: Lagends FC, country: India
incredible form, brilliant tactical discipline
solid stamina, tragic keeper
formidable pace, brilliant defender
excellent technique, excellent playmaker
adequate passing, excellent striker
Currently training him as a DEF. Next season I will train him in pace. After which I think he should be trained as a striker.
He can easily pop 3-4 times per season in whatever he is being trained in, plus 1 or 2 random pops.
If I switch to striker training, I think by the time he turns 25, his skills will be at least:
formidable stamina tragic keeper
brilliant pace magical defender
brilliant technique formidable playmaker
good passing brilliant striker
And at 27 maybe even:
formidable stamina tragic keeper
unearthly pace unearthly defender
unearthly technique outstanding playmaker
solid passing unearthly striker
What do you guys think??
This should be his last season of def training.
The goal is for him to be 1 of the greats by the time he's 26 or 27.
By the end of this season he will be close to magical in def. So in the next 5 or 6 seasons he can slowly pop at random to divine or superdivine. My belief is that when such a young player reaches a very high skill like he has achieved, then he shouldn't be trained in it till he reaches superdivine. He will randomly pop in that skill over time. Instead it would be better for his overall performance to be trained in another skill and bring that up as well.
The reason I suggested striker training is because he's already excellent in tech and striker. However in passing & playmaking he's only adequate and excellent. So 1 season will go trying to bring him to excellent in passing. Instead he could be incredible in technique or striker.
Plus with this plan he could play in both DEF and ATT. Imagine the number of tackles he would win against opposing defenders.

Dude, you should decide whether he is striker or defender and i think it is too late for him to be striker. IMO I would train ASAP passing and would try to make him 5xmagical MID.
3x unearthy striker with high def i think it is waste of talent.
update:
Earlier I thought it is amazing idea to have striker with high def (just like you now) and I was training some def for my striker, so he reached 3x divine and incredible defending and it didn't pay off at all. I was hoping he will tackle the balls for defenders and he will just score easy goals because of it, but it didn't happen, it was a complete waste of training - defenders just kick the ball and that's it.

Then it means your tactic didn't allow him to use his defender skill... If you sent long balls towards your striker, he needs to use all of his pace and tech to control the ball and move forward. It's only when he doesn't have the ball he's able to use his defender skill. Running lines, strikers right next to each other... offensive mid striker, wing striker,... all examples of which defender can pay of for strikers!
DEF/PACE to DIVINE, then passing to brilliant/formidable. His SS is too low to become striker.
Thanks for your opinions. Pretty much everyone is saying to train him as a def-mid
