The ideal solution would be if sokker.org provides the possibility that I can unblock my website's IP manually. Or maybe even better: Tsolias should be able to unblock it too, because he is online more often than me ;-).

@juytt: Such a mechanism exists for more than 2 months already. If you enter the wrong password 3 times in a row, you will be locked out of sokker-manager.net for 24 hours. This is better than nothing, but same as Terrion I now experienced that IP-blocking cannot always prevent my own IP from being blocked by sokker.org.

@Riga: In the transfer-database I save only the age at the time of the transfer. In theory I could fetch the current age from the NT-database and join it with the data from the transfer-database. Yet this would complicate things and increase loading-times a lot.

Important: Recently the IP of sokker-manager.net remained blocked for no less than 10 days (!!!). This means: During almost 240 hours it was not possible to use the most popular search-engine of my website and the data-updates had to be triggered manually by myself. Even after a well-known admin lobbied for the IP to be unblocked, it still took another couple of days until the sokker-devs eventually reacted.

Unfortunately, there can hardly be a clearer sign that the sokker-devs do not welcome third-party-websites like mine. What’s more, I talked to several managers who have been active in the sokker-community for almost a decade and they share my point of view. Given how much troubles my website had to go through during this year, it's almost a wonder that it still exists. Some of the troubles were actually caused by my former webhost, yet even more difficulties came from the fact that it was impossible to establish communication with the sokker-devs.

I don't want to say that I will close my website already tomorrow, but the future of sokker-manager.net doesn’t look bright at the moment. Both times when my website’s IP was blocked, several users reached out to the sokker-devs. I really appreciate such efforts. At the same time it hurts to see that the voices of these supporters are obviously irrelevant… irrelevant like a third-party tool, created in more than a thousand hours of volunteer work. A third-party-tool that provides useful features for free, features which sokker.org does even provide to playing users.

That's a pity . I've managed to scout all potential NT candidates with your website within a week .
Without Sokker Manager ıt would take ages ..

In my opinion, this fault is clearly happening on purpose by the devs. They dont want any other sites or programms outside sokker to exist, just like they did with sokker assistente. Maybe because they intend to add these kind o features in the sokker for plus users. But with their pace, this will happen in 3-4 years from now and in the meantime they will kill the interest for the game. They dont understand that this kind of sites are only helping the game and they dont lose money because of these sites. If they keep this attitude against these sites, I will not buy plus again. And I propose to you all to do the same, not to buy plus again, this is the only way to hear us.

There are security things, that automatically block. Also Devs unblock manually ip too. So IMO there s no bad intention. There is also no help from Devs. As far as I know, the « api » (xml files) are still accessible and I never see any ip block for this.

According to my log-entries there was no failed login-attempt at the time my website's IP got blocked. And basically I register every login-attempt in my database, except if sokker.org is not reachable. But then the login-attempt does not get executed anyway.

Of course I can NOT be 100% sure if my tracking-system worked correctly. But still there is a realistic chance that Tzes is right. Meaning: A sokker-developer blocked my IP on purpose, knowing that it belongs to sokker-manager.net. Even if that was not the case and it was blocked automatically: The extremely long blocking-time is absolutely inexcusable and the fact that sokker-devs (again!) ignored multiple unblocking-requests is more than revealing. At best their attitude is: "We couldn't care less about the crap ramonymous created". In the worst case it goes even beyond this. After all it's an open secret that they do find third-party-websites a nuisance.

@juytt: I believe that my engines were no longer able to log into xml-service either. I will verify this next time my IP is blocked, but it doesn’t change much because my code strongly relies on json-files from sokker.org. Moreover Terrion had the same IP troubles and he once said he uses XML-service only.

Yes, in the asistente I only use htmls to get players in transfer list, which otherwise are not reachable

But I don't think they are blocking any 3rd party apps on purpose since they are too much busy with lots of other important things like they new matches page :P

It’s a pity that the situation does not improve for sokker-manager. I remember in particular this thread in the Development-forum where you and other developers of third party tools requested more support from sokker-developers. Although many users supported this request, there was obviously never a response to this.

Given the current circumstances and all the difficulties you've had in the past, I could very well understand if you were to close sokker-manager.net. Of course many users encourage you to continue but it seems like there is no substantial help in sight. In the end, you're fighting a lonely battle and instead of just making yourself miserable it’s maybe better to stop...

It is blocked intentionally or it is not getting unblocked intentionally. There is no much difference.

Ok, they are very busy with the new page and etc, but wait a minute, they don't even have the time to drink a glass of water? :P
They are already 2 seasons behind their schedule and I still don't see 'light in the tunnel'. So they can sacrifice some of their valuable time to keep the interest for the game high, by helping a little bit these third-party tools, or at least not sabotaging them.

We pay for this game and support it because we want to see it improving, and these tools are improving the experience of the game, either you like it or not. So please, pay some attention to them, or else I really have no intention to keep paying and supporting. I hope more users will declare their suport and declare that they won't buy plus anymore until the devs solve this problem. Let's show some solidarity people. Ramonymous created a great tool that we all like, by sacrificing a lot of his free time to do it.
