Subject: Sokker Viewer

2025-08-25 08:29:55
you have them, dont need to download them
they are in directory with you sokker viewer (the old one, main one)
use them as I described
2025-08-26 05:42:23
use start.bat and java_version.bat (I see you have at least start.bat file) - they will generate output to files java_version.log and last_execution.log
past contents of both files here

I really appreciate your attention, friends. But I don't know how to do this. I'm a novice in this area, but it would be great if one day I could have sokker.viewer as a website and a mobile app...

If possible, send a step-by-step guide to my skmail at some point, but I don't want to take up your time. Only if it's something that doesn't require a lot of work for you.

Hi guys! Do you know is it possible to use sokker viewer on mac? If yes can someone send me a link please?

I'd wager yes. Do these work?
https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/12246/ID_topic/3328684/pg/1

I run it from the terminal (on Linux).

On second page of the linked thread there was a conversation in Polish about running it on Linux. Translation of my post below:

"No special version is needed. SV works under Linux. This may not be the best method, or even necessary (because I tend to reinvent the wheel), but this is what I did.

I replaced the swt.jar file from the lib directory with the one below.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/pq5dyb627yoozxl/swt.jar/file
This file is from the Internet. I don't remember where, but it's probably the official version of what the error message said was needed.
I run SV with the command (from the SV main directory) - java -jar Launcher.jar"

For this to work use third option from the first post of the linked thread.

So download this https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9stnzop0u109xzihswxts/sokker_viewer64.zip?rlkey=a9o8e5727l68igftyp02fyvmv&st=uj4w832o&dl=1
Then replace two files from SV lib folder:
a) swt.jar with this https://www.mediafire.com/file/pq5dyb627yoozxl/swt.jar/file
b) core-0.13.3.jar with this https://www.mediafire.com/file/l8oqbyqs2l5h80u/core-0.13.3.jar/file

I don't have Mac so I can't test it but I hope it helps somewhat.

any way to make it work for windows 7?
Regards

same as above, just skip a)
2025-08-28 18:54:44
b) core-0.13.3.jar with this https://www.mediafire.com/file/l8oqbyqs2l5h80u/core-0.13.3.jar/file
this one?

I have repacked SV with the patch for arrasca10 to make the 'step-by-step guide' as simple as possible.

So you have two choices (for version before Mikoos changes)
a) replace a file from your SV lib folder yourself. The file name is 'core-0.13.3.jar. Replace with: patched file link.
b) follow the guide below

1. Download this: Sokker Viewer
2. Unpack somewhere. It will be your new SV.
3. Copy below directories from you old SV directory to the new one (the unpacked one) to get your old data back.
a) xml
b) db
c) bak
d) settings

Otherwise use Mikoos build with some improvements but it might be a little hassle because it needs new Java. It is bundled (?) but some people had issues.
You can download it here: Mikoos build

There is also kryminator's build that is somewhat in between. A rebuild with a patch (?). kryminator's build

The guide should work for all three. Just use a different link.

Tanks to evryone !
I succeeded using the Mikoos method. The program works great, but it doesn't get the player history, even though I copied the xlm data etc. into the new SV.
So I only see the current status of the players and can't see trainement and pop before .
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks !!!
Nothing bad ,but also is strange to me becouse to start the program, now I have to click on the black SV application icon , before the tragedy (on the old SV) I use to click on Launcher jAVA to start SV .

What actually matters is "db" directory, are you sure you copied it? Compare the size of db_file_Abacaxi.script file from the old SV directory with the one from the new SV directory. If the old one is big and new one is small then you didn't copy that.

That's because if you try to open Launcher.jar then windows doesn't know that it's supposed to use java from jdk-24 directory. That's what SokkerViewer.exe does (file that you called "black SV application icon" :P) - launching Launcher.jar with that java.

It works now. I tried copying the old files to the new SV's destination folder and then only after ,downloaded the new program and unpack on the same place... It works like magic. Thanks again...
