If a team finishes 1st in its group, doesn't it face the team finishing 2nd in the other group? There's a mistake here.

Teams from 2nd place play for positions 5-8.

The choice for the tiebreaker is still pretty far-fetched.. cards or playing fewer home games would be more relevant ( or ranking..).

It's not a big deal, my comment wasn't meant to be hostile, haha. I don't really care, but I don't think comparing shots is relevant, it's too random to be credible since the game engine creates its own scenarios.

I think you need to change the rule for the World Cup finalists. Spain basically got screwed by not getting to play the weakest team in their group and much the same for Suomi/Österreich U21. All got 1 point from their easiest game when they could have gotten 3.

At first, I thought the rule only applied to the finalist's matches, but then I saw that it also applied to the other match didn't seem very fair. Spain would have been group leader if that match had been included.
But was the rules, and was clearly specified. So there's no problem, and Spain should have beaten to France or Turkey, and they could have, but we drew with both and finished third in the group. That's fine!!!

I agree, only the results of the first group matches of the teams that reached the final should be counted as a 0-0 draw, while the scores of the other group matches should be accepted as they are.

Thank you very much for your opinions. I need to think about how to improve this tournament :-) As you know, my goal is to have 32 teams. In the previous editions, many people complained that the tournament was not balanced and that teams were losing a lot of ranking points. Now I think it is better, but the shorter season cut one week, so I need to consider what I can do about that.

I also wanted to resign from organizing the Druid's Cup, but during the election period I received some @sk messages from users asking if I would prepare the tournament, so I decided to run it again. Unfortunately, I probably prepared the rules too quickly.

34 teams register, the 2 in the World Cup final drop out. Draw can be made as soon as the World Cup semis are done. Otherwise I dont think much needs changing.

No worries, it's all part of the job, haha.
