Snow?? What's that ??? (Just for the record i do know what snow is i just barely ever see it living in Australia unless i go to the mountains or ski resorts during winter)

Anyways being summer and all we're getting 30+ temperatures (ie in celsius) apart from the past few days which we have been getting mid 20's.

When it snows on your lawn which is hardly ever i can only recall twice in the last 10 years, it never lasts long :(.

Don`t ever get tired that the weather is always warm in australia?
In Estonia we have all the seasons..spring, summer, autumn and winter. I like it that way.
2006-01-20 15:12:43
nah in Canberra theres 2 kinds of temperatures.

Hot in summer 30+ generally
Freezing in winter (although probably not as cold as some european countries in winter... Fortunately) anywhere from -6 to 10. When its 10 its actually a really nice day.

although consistent hot temperatures in summer gets frustrating.

hear hear !!!
2006-01-20 16:17:20
That's nothing.. Stop whining and get yourself some spiked tires! ;)
2006-01-20 16:32:34
Yea, you are right ;) but i was talking about sea level places. Mountain places like Mendoza, also snows, but there also far from wehere i live.
2006-01-20 16:36:02
By the way, I've heard that spiked/studded tires are forbidden in just about every country in the world, except Norway, Finland, Sweden, Russia and Iceland.. Is this true? Will I be stopped at the border if I drive south with spiked tires?

I like snow, but just for a while (going to sky or during a week in christmas). To live in a snowed place is a shit in my opinion. It's too cold, you're always wet and can have lots of accidents.

Although I live in the pyrinees, it doesn't snow much (less than once a year) and when it snows it goes away in a few days.
