Subject: United States: Election Time
I don't want to "vote" here.
Obama seems to be a great speaker... he was able to interest a lot of young people for politics. That is his work. Anyway, I don't know if he would be a good president.
Isn't it a vote for the vice president? Obama would be killed as president, McCain would die anyway. So I guess I vote for the democratic party, because Palin seems to be ... stupid.
I would be really interested in some voices of americans. Here in germany the media is talking 15 minutes about Obama and then 30 seconds about McCain. What is the situations in the USA? And in what believe the people in the USA? I would be really interested in that, because in germany we only know Obama and stupid Palin.

and in the plane i was asked a questionary, with questions like if i hae drugs, or im communist, or i want to kill the usa president
At the end of the questionary a phrase said: "If any of your answer is Yes you can not enter in the USA" LOL ( it is not a joke)
I have done this questionary to when I went to N.Y.
I prefer Obama for president.

All those are just to make explicit what is completely obvious. It's very common in the US.
For example I saw in a swimming pool "don't jump if the pool is empty". Why they put something like that?? Simple, because some moron jumped without water, then sued the hotel/whatever and got money out of it.
The same happens here, if you sign there, you are agreeing that you are not going to do that, and if you try, the trial is more simple with your sign on that paper.
Go Obama...

I'm not allowed to vote, so I won't:P
A lot op people here are anti-America and anti-Bush and anti-Republican. This is because of non-rational believes like 'Americans are stupid' and 'Republicans only want war', etc. Some things may be true, but most of them are prejudgements and I always tend to be a little bit the other side to prevent the weighing scale from leaning to one side. Nonetheless I believe that Obama would be a better president for the United States.
McCain winning by 55% of the votes might be bad, Obama winning by 95% of the votes is a lot worse.

voting here for obama, and in about an hour for him irl.
and btw, i have no problem whatsoever with this thread, as long as it stays on target.
Well, based on what i've heard, and it thus might be wrong, McCain leaves the possibility open for war with Iran, whereas Obama rules that out.
That's not my point, but I agree with you that it's a good reason, for me, not to vote for McCain (if I could).
I hope Obama gets elected. He seems the smarter and more capable one of the two. McCain really confused me with having Sarah Palin as his VP candidate; she seems very incompetent to me.
Well, I watched the debates, and Obama said that they spent too many efforts on Irak, where the real problem is Afghanistan (he didn't say "the real problem" but he said that currently in Afghanistan there are soldiers being trained in order to attack the US). So i don't think he is a peace lover either.
And he is pro-guns, pro-death penalty and supports the tapping on citizens etc (and I don't say anything about it, no good or bad). Like McCain Obama is also raised in the US so they probably share a lot of the same values. The only think we can do is hope for the best ... we can't vote so we have nothing to say about it.
I think Obama is more of this world so I hope he will win.
