Those thung about freedom fries instead of french fries, not really enemies , but i dont see Paris in GTA as a game been sold massivle in Usa, imo :)

why not? Paris is probably the favourite destination of american tourist in Europe...

Been there and they mae many jokes about french people, they also come to spain like tourists and most of them think spain its located in south america ;)

But I think it is better choice for game, then London... London already been in GTA series, I don't like riding in left and I hate english accent... That which got Packie McReary... Uuugh, terrible. I'm not saying all people in England speaks like that, but I've heard many people speaks with that accent, it's classic british thing :) Also whole city, isn't so interesting as Paris... But I know, many people finds London very interesting, and it's one of the most expensive cities in Europe, probably the most one, but still I think Paris got more to offer... And I believe GTA will be bestseller even if it would be set in desert, because it's got a name and it offers lots of fun.

I think Rome is the best city to use, because it is 'near the maffia' and it has a lot of well known spots which can be recognized.

Id prefer Paris more than London too :) , but my opinion is that in Usa markets, Rome, London or even Madrid or Barcelona would have more selling than Paris

In every big city is organized crime on high level, it's not only about mafia, even french gangsters can be same dangerous.

Because I see many options which can this city offer, many interesting locations, and whole city is really nice for view - american style of high buildings on La Défense, historical centrum and normal urban areas in surrounding areas... Paris could looking perfect, like when you enjoying ride though NYC now (in GTA IV), experience when you're riding though Paris will be even more better! And when you have good backround, you can set more interesting mission in it...

Napoli, Roma, somewhere in Italy I guess.

my pc isn't even good enough to play gta ıv ...it would be more interisting to know which huge reqiurements gta v will have than to know in which city it will take place^^ but I think that moscow would be possible as city....

I buyed a whole new machine due to GTA IV, and it is:

AMD AthlonX2 5200+
4 GB RAM
GeForce NX8600 512 MB

with all other equipments like motherboard, HDD, tower etc. it cost 350 €. I don't think it is much today, for a whole new PC.
Then I play game on 1024x768 (85MHz), medium quality, high details, distance, shadows everythin cca on medium. It looks nice and it's absolutely smooth. When I tryed to play on 1280x1024 it wasn't so smooth so I change it back. When you have high details, it's okay.

Of course you are right with Paris. It would be great location. But I still think that US is the biggest market for GTA-series-games and thus it would not be the best choice to locate it in france. that france is a country with lots of tourism is because Paris is known as a city where you bring your girl when you love her. Even in the US. I don't think that would be the thing that really is interesting for the people that want to play GTA :)

and yes.. mafia in Italy would be good choice as well. At least if there is no other game done about mafia in italy right now.

well at the moment I have still p4 3,2ghz but to buy a new pc only for one game is something which I wouldn't, I think;)

of course, but I had 3 or 4 years old PC, AMD 1,0 GHz with 384 RAM and GeForce 2 :) I was waiting for GTA IV, 'cause I don't play many games, to update my comp at the level to handle this game.
