Subject: Netbooks

Hi guys. I'm asking here, as in Poland no one was able to help me..:p

I'm searching for a good netbook. I will in 90% write and use the internet on him. Sometimes I'll watch a video.

Now, I've found two interesting netbooks:
HP Compaq 700
HP mininote 2140

Do you know anything about these models? Or maybe do you know any good, but not too pricey, netbooks?

Why wouldnt you buy notebook with 13" screen then ?
They arent a lot bigger or more expensive but performance differences are considerable.

Since Macbook Air and HP Envy 13 from that segment are too expensive (~1500€) you could look at something like Toshiba Satellite U500 which is 550-600€...

wich isn't really what you call a top notebook while you can get a very good netbook for 400 €

and if he would only use it for internet, writing and sometimes watch a video he can save those money :)



never the less netbooks are thin, lighter and battery last longer than a notebook

get Eee PC if that's all you're using it for. very small, light, and not too pricey i would imagine :)

get an MSI GX series...they have the best components! :D

Dell?

He looks for small and light computer, you have to pay some extra for that.
Netbooks suck, 13" notebook is better solution...

13'' is too much. I need it little. And I really don't need anything special, 400€ is max I'm giving.
In fact, I have 3 netbooks at the moment, need to decide which to get...

my father's got an Asus netbook but I don't know if it's this one

i am writting from : ASUS EeePC, very nice one, one of the best from netbooks

I've heard that they last 7h on battery? That would be awesome :)
How is the keyboard? It's important for me to have it decent, I will have to write for 2-4h in a row...

I also would recomend Asus. And in particularly, this one...

Asus Eee PC 1000H.

The next model that comes is the Asus Eee PC 1002HA that is very good, and its gonna make the 1000H even more chepier.

@ Borkos, the keyboard is superb, easy to work with. i am also writting not 2-4 but 4-6 on it, for university, and i give 9 points from 10. cause 10 will get the PC inveted by me :)

Awesome :) and are there any problems? is it loud, does it get hot...don't know...any problems? :)
