But is the Magyarization really happening? Gallicisation really happened: Brussels for instance was first a Dutch-speaking city like Ghent or Antwerp. Only the bourgeoisie spoke French. However, because French was the only official language in Belgium (although majority spoke Dutch) and Brussels was the capital city, now only about 5% of the inhabitants of Brussels speak Dutch at home. The same is happening with the municipalities around Brussels that lie in the Dutch-speaking region of Flanders, and we want to prevent that those municipalities become French-speaking like Brussels.
How do you feel when f.e. Hungarian prime minister come to your country to celebrate some Hungarian anniversary and during the uncovering statue of Hungarian king in your country is speaking about Felvídek (it´s historical name for Upper Hungary) and connecting all Hungarians lands together in a near future??? wtf???
There was huge community of proud Slovaks in Bekes-Csaba in Hungary few years ago, I wonder how much of them will register as Slovaks in next census of the nation. I expect less than 10k...

1990: 20 459 Slovaks; 12 745 persons with a Slovak mother language; 68 852 persons speaking Slovak language
2001: 17 693 Slovákov; 11 816 persons with a Slovak mother language; 18 056 persons speaking Slovak language

That's an offence for proud Slovakians, obviously. Slovakia should demand apologizes of Hungary because of not recognizing the sovereignty of Slovakia.
However, this isn't necessary if a Hungarian-speaking citizen of Slovakia would say this.

I have never learnt czech and czechs have never learned speak slovak and we understand each other, sometimes I dont realize that what I am reading is in czech :-), so this is really special occasion.

It is an extreme nationalistic picture of probably some retarded Hungarian, but it has nothing to do with fascism. Please use fascism or nazism in the right context.

I just cannot understand the other party's of the Slovak government didn't react on the statements of Slota.
Because you can not read slovak news :-). Our political party are against all Slota's statements. That is true, you can find it in slovak news, you must just learn read slovak news :-).
Fico (previous government) had Slota in government, he really doesnt like Slota, but he need majority in slovak parliament. But couple of months before last election started Fico took a lot of Slota's voters on his side... why ? He doesnt like such a stupid Slota's statements and he was able to take his voters by more "polite national political speaking", so you can see, that even man who need slota defeat him and took him his voters :-)

rubinho... every slovak policeman same as czech policaman must speak in state language too !
So law is same for everything, just nobody can realized that he is speaking in czech instead of slovak, but you can ask him for speaking in slovak...but this is really just for fun...

Hungary is giving a lot of magyar citizenship for foreigners living in another countries. So every inhabitant of Belgium can have Magyar citizenship and no matter if Belgium will accept this.
After they give maybe 100 000 Magyar citizenships for southern Slovaks, Jobbik will come to EU and they will than say that there are living 90% of Magyar citizens (not just slovaks with magyar nationality, but magyar citizens with all rights which have all Magyars at home, for example they can vote) so they want from EU, better from OSN to Magyars citizens can join back to motherland and occupation can start again :-(.
how can you call this ? Is it not Magyarization ?

About Czech/Slovak language:
Sorry, I thought it were similar languages, but not almost identically. I thought it was more like Dutch/German: I can understand German very well, but have difficulties to talk it myself.

i'm not able to read so many stupid things, but i would like to say something:
1. rumpil: never tell what we are thinking about hitler and IIww! you defame every time our country with this. did you see ever that i speak about tiso slota etc? never. so pls stop without asking the hungarians about it. hungary suffer a lot during the nazism. pls stop this defamation!
2. every time somebody ask you about this language law, which is the product of some stupid slovakian radical politicans, you start to begin about hungarian history. so what happend in the past is legitimate every stupid law? than i will go to mongolia to kill some tartar, who invaded our country in the 13. century. try to talk about the law.
3. have you seen ever that a hungarian user provoke you, or your state? because i've never. but every time slovakians speak about my country i have to cry. pls stop provoke us every time.

I do read Flemish and international newspapers, but the Slovak/Hungarian issue isn't that hot news :p
