Surprised there isn't a topic already, it's based on Los Santos (Los Angeles) and Southern California apparently, not happy that San Fierro (San Francisco) and Las Venturas (Las Vegas) have not been mentioned, I would love something similar to GTA San Andreas but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen... I think it might just be better.

when's the release date?

Sometime later in the year, maybe October because I think it's been mentioned that it's before the Call of Duty release.

If it is October, it'll be 10 years to the month since Vice City came out!

Vice city was f... awesome, so was SA, and i can't wait to get hands on gta5

San Andreas was my personal favourite, I just couldn't get bored of it, the only problem with mine was that I couldn't play basketball after a certain while, it wouldn't let me! :/

haha yes it is my favourite too, when you completed all the levels then it really begun IMO, because then you just did stupid thinks and explored every single corner of the map :D

You could do nearly everything on it, for a game from 2004 (2005 on Xbox :P) it was incredible, you could fly planes, drive tanks, bet in casinos, tune your car, have gang wars and much more!

Its always in November. Just before holidays and halloween, its the best time to sell video games in America :)

Regardless, looks like it won't be here for at least another 8 months, so nothing to already get that worked up about.

think about it,only first trailer released so far...and thats from november last year.....and Rockstar used to launch 4-5 trailers before launch...and then game will be out for PS3,Xbox and then after 6-8 months for PC...so my guess goes for 2013 :)

why is the new game in california? cant it be somewhere different? we have already had san andreas.

It's only Los Santos, there's no Flint County, Red County or Bone County that were almost irrelevant places. Personally i would love to see a revisited version of Vice City just to see how it would look now. A European version would be unsuccesful in the American market, which is targeted these kind of games. And nowadays Los Angeles in real life has it all, gang crimes, drug traffic and gives material to be creative.

Still, nothing beats SA.
