Go for Galaxy SIII and if you don't mind the size, I would say Note II.

It's true iOS run smoother than android but honestly there nothing much effect the real life usage. While iOS only provide slightly smoother experience, the S3 provides you much more features. The best features of the S3 is the floating app which let you open a mini app while running another app just like in windows. If you want a stylist phone go with the Iphone, if you want more features then S3 would be the best choice. Off topic: I am not an Android fan but I certainly hate Apple, while the whole world is trying to improve the experience for we, the users. Companies are joining forces to develop hardware and software together. Apple stands against everyone. They claim everything theirs, and want too rule the market for itself. The most ridiculous thing that Apple did is sue Samsung for a round design. That's why I always avoid Apple product. I don't want to support such companies like that. I'm just showing my opinion, no judgement please!

all menus and settings are less user friendly in iOS. I learn a lot of people who dont know both system (nokia, BB and other users).

Also me, as eco-IT man had to say, that android is really better in menus and settings.

------------
in EU there is much bigger android community, so you can easily share cool hot app with your friend under android :-)

------------
android (and producers using it) and other OS producers use (in mobiles with such a OS) same charger in their mobiles. iOS and his mobiles with different charger

--------------

there is plenty of cracked SW under android, so for free :-DD

----------
more users use android (I suppose) so I await more money for devs and better developlment

Depends of what you like, both are high-end smartphones:

- iPhone: Stylish, simple, smooth experience, closed and less useful apps.
- Android: Endless possibilities, cheaper, more varied hardware depending on the use you want to give your phone.

For an Android phone I'd go for a Sony smartphone (Xperia S or Xperia T) if you want to get the best screen and camera, while still having enough performance for social usage of the device. If you want pure performance, I'd get a Nexus 4: it's similar to the SGS3, more stylish and since it's a google phone it will be developed quite well.

You'll use your android phone (for a lot of things) but you will fall in love with your iphone 5 :)

I'm using a Xperia S and I'm sorry to say that the camera is a disappointment. It's auto-focus is really slow and the result pictures have alot of noise and the color is washed away. Although it's a 12mp camera, it's still an average one. I'm looking forward to the Xperia V but I think the camera will likely to be the same.

While it's true that autofocus and image quality was lowered since the ICS update and it could behave better in low light conditions, it's better than your average high-end phone.

This is a picture I took with my cellphone, you can even read the letters at the stairs:

Picture taken with iphone 5:

Same place and same lighting, taken with my phone (I don't know why, it was uploaded flipped):

Edit: And before you say that the iphone picture looks more defined, take the resolution into account.

Another thing you should know: if you've got an apple computer, go for iphone. Sync possibilities are nearly inexistent with an apple computer, sync programs are simply not working on os x. :P
2012-12-27 17:39:48
this is the main point.
2012-12-28 12:11:17
Try "airdroid". its a sync program for android that work based on the web browser. you can use it to sync an android with a mac iguest... i'm not sure though, go ahead and try and do tell me if it work please.

@Adrian: For a camera at this price I still think it's unsatisfactory. But there is some pros about the camera too. I like the macro, when the focus work right you will have some nice shot. And the quick snap mode work brilliant too, just like their advertisement. I'm talking based on my real experience with the S. If you want a Sony phone I think let just wait for the Xperia V

honestly... the galaxy 3 raped the iphone 5 with violence
2012-12-28 16:11:42
extreme violence I mean
