LOL!
I missunderstood the instructions the first time, and marked only one (1) check in the questions which admitted more than one.
After trying again, this time checking all the answers that seemed correct for each question, my results change:

The first part makes more sense, as European (UK) English is the one I studied (and not "Singaporean").
But the second part (where I am supposedly from), this time is quite odd ^^

It seems this is how we end up in Singapore :P
1. Canadians, Irish, and Scottish accept I'm finished my homework instead of with my homework.
2. Americans, Canadians, and South Africans accept I sent my mother a letter instead of to my mother.
3. Singaporean is very similar to Standard American English and the two can be hard to distinguish.

Correctly guessing my native language was more about luck, it seems:
1. If you are a good match for one of the standard English dialects (American, Canadian, etc.), you are probably a native English-speaker.
2. Non-native English speakers rarely use Irishisms, Scottishisms, or other regionally-specific language.
The algorithm is only just starting to be able to guess native languages other than English. As it learns more, we'll know more about what the distinguishing features of different language backgrounds are.
or maybe they are hiding part of the algorithm :P

I messed up a bit because at first I didn't realise I could pick more than one answer (it would seem I weren't the only one).
