Subject: Idea: Pooling smaller countries
- 1
I was just looking at the list of countries...
You know, it's got to be pretty lonely playing in a country like Luxembourg with a grand total of 2 players! For that matter, even in a country with 100 players such as Canada, new players often find themselves literally in a league of their own - like I am, playing against 7 bots. This is less than optimal, and certainly less fun than it could be.
So I was thinking, that it might be an idea to put (all or some of) the smaller countries into a single group, just to improve league structure. (They could keep their own national teams, for instance.) As countries grow past a certain threshold (I'm thinking about 24-40 players), they could be taken out of the small-country group and reorganised into a single-country league structure.

How will the finance jumps be handled with all that shifting about?

Wait .. 2008, 17 (!!) years ago and never been implemented / solved? :| what?
Easy; put all small countries together within the same football association:
AFC (Asia and Australia)
CAF (Africa)
CONCACAF (North, Central America and Caribbean)
CONMEBOL (South America)
OFC (Oceania)
UEFA (Europe)
But there are more options, like continents and then do this Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia + Oceania. Or large world regions.
Countries keep their own national page and national teams, but individual teams are playing in such an international competition (Africa Competition, Americas Competition, etc).

Geston put up some questions in another thread
why it is more complex to implement it in a prober way. Iirc it had something to do with clear rules for promotion/relegation considering changes in the numbers of active members in a country.
Unfortunately, I don't find the thread. Maybe you are more successful. :-)

Sokker needs solutions, people who solve problems and create new possibilities, not people asking more questions.
Doing nothing is going backwards, like Sokker so often does. And meanwhile implementing 'solutions' for things that where not a (serious) problem, and by that make playing Sokker even more complicated!! No idea who come up with those things, ruining Sokker from the inside!
Just make it, and when more managers are staying, start thinking about different solutions. First try to get the managers to play Sokker, and stay.

So? Certainly we all can agree with what you say. Still I don't get why these questions are a problem. Do you have good answers to the raised concerns? Please go ahead.
I'm pretty sure a solid understanding of a problem helps a lot to elaborate a good solution. And critical questions may help there to find the right answers.

There has been tons of questions...bug issues...and they are still there, after years of ignorance. But hallelujah, we have a statistics Page with additional bugs. If the People in charge don't listen to the problems, then asking more questions is not the way to help Sokker. We need a miracle...

A miracle... especially when those who have the patience to intensify their criticism, suppress it, and pressure for change... are prevented from doing so by those who expect a miracle. Coherence.
I think the game development is a bit the same as with Portugal matches.
We see lots of good ideas and still there are zero implemented :-p

I love that this idea was first brought up 17yrs ago with foresight to what would happen, and now we have over 40% countries with less users than a single league.
Even their example of Canada, that number would now be the 17th biggest in sokker

Should you reply with no informational nature when you're on the radar with the mod crew?
Don't push it.
Don't push it.
Im not pushing it, its always been my believe that staff of sokker should work for hope and a better future, and not diss the game
