Gordon Atkinson took a knock that will likely rule him out of the first WC game (will be SI 3-5 which would have a significant affect on his performance).
Jeff Donoso is on the TL.
Don't think he is the prospect he once was - injuries have cost him training. His technique needs a fair bit of work, and his striking and pace aren't done yet.

There did not seem to be broad support for the U21 tournament. So I have instead entered New Zealand in the Copa América tournament to be held after the World Cup.
The astute reader will realise that New Zealand is not in the Americas. The tournament organizers wanted 16 teams, and got 14 from the target region. Ireland and New Zealand will fill in the other two spots.
To me, this is more attractive then the unofficial U21. With the U21, you sometimes end up being forced to use players that really have no long term future with the team. In the Copa América there is (obviously) more freedom in player selection. Youngsters can (and will) still be used, but not to the detriment of the players in their prime.

The team got through the week without any further injuries, but the form update was another kick in the teeth. Few players up. Hird and Bodger each shed ~3 levels. :S
from my players Kilkenny didnt have any change in form but Roza is back in his very high form:)
hrmm.. i was SURE that Bodger would gain at least a level considering his performance on wednesday...
Roza has been dropped from the NT.
I've grown tired of his manager's complaints about his playing time (especially since he's played quite a bit since I've been here - almost as many caps in the last season and a quarter as in the rest of his NT career).
Given the depth at forward I don't think he will be missed. The next manager may choose to recall him.

I understand your discission. NT coach decides who will play - managers don't need to ask it every time if their player will play..
Good luck saturday

Thanks for the support. It's not so much about asking. It's about explaining over and over (and over again) why he didn't play.
Still catching up on things I missed on the weekend. The Copa America group draw was held. New Zealand is in Group B:
GRUPO B
1. Colombia
2. New Zealand
3. Bolivia
4. Honduras
Colombia is a pretty good team. The others are fodder. There is a great opportunity to win the group.

I guess you are not patient enough. And I think everyone can discuss your decisions, right? I can't force you to do anything but I think I may not share your opinion about certain things. Anyway I hope you made a correct decision, Roza is not terrible player - 15 goals in 18 games is not a terrible thing. Sry for annoying you.

and anyway, dropping a player from NT just because you don't like his manager is not a mature thing to do. Anyway sorry for asking you too many times about why he didn't play, I am just like everyone - happy if ones player plays in NT games
unless u can find a better thing to do to fend off a anooying manager, dont be so hard on seca
haha im not hard, i have no hard feelings for him:) his decision, im not NT coach. All I say I annoyed him too much just cuz I had a different opinion regarding technique in strikers:)
and by the way, I was that annoying manager:P - Roza is on my team haha:)
