Bit of a nostalgia piece on the TL right now.
Sam Pritchett, with 46 caps to his credit, was one of the more influential middies in New Zealand NT's early seasons. He started in New Zealand's first ever match, and was the first team member to be sent off (later in the season). Until the emergence of Atkinson he was arguably New Zealand's top offensive midfielder.
Topical because of the recent demise of Deathstrike, Pritchett was a Bball trained middie and exemplifies his PM > passing philosophy.

Got through the weekend without any injuries, which is good. Now that it's a scoring contest for second place in the group, it would be really nice if some strikers upped their form. Only one that managed to do so this past update was Morcombe. :S
NT Milestones
Portugal II
Morcombe - 30th cap (37 goals at this point in his career)
Brent Gilbert - 50th goal (in 68 matches - he did play a good part of his early career on the wing)

A bit of good form news. 3 of the 4 front-line strikers raised their form (hard to tell - form is still awful). Morcombe back to the "tipping point". Hird the only one that dropped - now poor.
Looks like we're losing Richards again. After ~5 seasons at the tragic end of the spectrum, he popped up to adequate after his recent transfer. But now has slipped back down to poor.
Aside from the striker position, the roster is in pretty good shape for this weekend. Striker is pretty rough. Along with the form struggles of the top 4, the next options (D Chadwick and Hawkey) are out injured.

19 year old striker Luke Stanley (who has been in the transfer announcements for some time) is now listed. He may well have NT aspirations.
Time passes quickly!! I remember pulling him. Talented young fella!
Jeremy Hagan, 24 year old DM/DEF, has been called up. Former Fiery Tiger youth currently playing in Italy.

One of the U21 defenders, Gary Harding, is on the TL.
I wouldn't rate a particularly good prospect at this point. He needs a lot of work, especially in pace and technique. His passing and PM would also need to improve if he is to help the senior squad long term.

Johnny Bodger, age: 28
club: LosPumitas, country: New Zealand
value: 1 640 000 C$, wage: 19 520 C$
outstanding form, brilliant tactical discipline
There were almost tears. :D It's taken most of the season, but one of the strikers is finally (somewhat) in form.

I visited him and told him to get in some shape, snappy.
