And here is the reason why Edwards didn`t take Williams` place, when he was fouled out. Notice the similarity?:) I am such a noob.

Conditional orders

Min. Condition / Action
1' red card or no player
Gary Edwards on position 1

The most important place on your squad is the goalkeeper if he had a red card or this place is free, it is good to ensure that it is safe ¬¬

*****

I have finished my work with the database. Now I have the fresh skills of all players.
The future isn`t very bright....

Keepers

Luckily at the moment we have world class Kaz Taylor, who is only 26.
He can be our no.1 at least for next 4-5 seasons. Donald Oorschot, currently incredible, but only with adequate pace. Hopefully will be trained to divine and, then will be sold to pace trainer. Brad Mair, don´t know his skills, but if trained well and for many seasons, then he will be awesome.

Defense

The current best players are already 28+, they are at pretty good level. Luckily we have at least 3 decent defensers, who are bit younger. They are Simon Williams (25), Duncan Vettori (24) and Duncan Findlay (23). Haven`t found anyone else U25, who would be close to NT. Have used Dreat Team for that too. Hopefully there are few players in U21 who can help us in future.

Midfield

The biggest problem so far. There are few decent wingers, which is positive, but not enough midfielders, who have outstanding+ def skill. They are the key in midfield, for me the most important skill.

Strikers
Morocombe is just a beast, if he stays healthy we are ok. Brent Gilbert is currently my second choice, also superb play, unfortunately already 30y old. Jacob Priore is close to being my second choice. Kevin Brunton, when this dude gets 22y, then he automatically will get a place in NT. Probably will be no.3 striker next season in NZ. No worries about the striking side.

probably Richards is closest to be a midfielder, but he lacks some passing ,and PM:(

Where did you find Hawkey? I though that I checked every single transfer of NZ teams .
But I don't think he'll have a chace to play in NT.

Good luck with finding best tactics wwitout Mid

I used good old Dream Team to find players...Haven´t done the transfer check thing.

But I think there is no better players missing in sokker, all the best should be already known.

Your expectations are pretty high there ;). Pretty unlikely to find any decent midfielders with pace/tech/pass/pm and also defending above outstanding from a small userbase which was always less than 50 users.

Even Australia might possibly be pushing to find sufficient numbers of players with high enough midfield skills and also satisfy your defense cutoff ;).

I agree it's a very useful skill but that's a luxury and a rare gift for any NT with <200 users, yet alone <100 as is the case with NZ, unless you sacrifice a lot of pace/tech/passing and pm to essentially play defenders as midfielders.

I know, but to have at least one superb mid isn`t much to ask for. There is at least one player, 22y of age who is being trained as a defensive midfielder. But his time will come 1-2 seasons.
He, my no.3 def mid is almost perfect, what I want - lacks in pace which I intend to train soon.

But I can beat Australia even with our B-squad...shouldn`t be too difficult:)

In conclusion one of the reasons I chose NZ is because you don`t have the best players here and your NT isn`t world class. A good motivation for me to give 100%.

That's a bit different. One is more probable then a complete centre midfield :).

Considering we beat your 1st squad with our B-Squad I'd like to see that ;). We might meet in the MWC yet.

Our last group stage match in Mini World Cup is against Bosna i Hercegovina. They are 28th in the world rank, so bit higher than us. But wouldn`t say they are much stronger. We have good chances to beat them.

Current standings are here. We definitely need to win or draw to be 100% sure in qualification to next round.

Group B:
1. New Zealand 6 11-5
2. Bosna i Hercegovina 4 4-2
3. Nigeria 1 1-6
4. Slovenija 0 6-9

Unfortunately I can`t use the beast Rob Morcombe and our one of the best defenders Simon Williams. Williams known as team clown will be sitting on the bench tomorrow to make the bench warmers laugh while first eleven kicks ass on the pitch. Dude knows some really good aussie jokes.
...no offence...
What is the Australian animal that most resembles the Australian male?
The wombat, because he eats, roots(,) and leaves.

Anyway good luck to us tomorrow. Don´t forget to watch it, match starts at 9.30.
Live broadcast from local NZTV - commentators are Barhilo and expert is Johnny Bodger.

That's a pretty poor commentary team there!
2009-06-05 22:17:06
Anyone better to suggest?
2009-06-06 09:24:23
I am pretty disappointed to be honest. We deserved at least a draw, but our strikers weren`t just accurate enough to score. Man of the match is definitely Bosnian keeper. It seemed impossible to score against him. Now let`s hope that 6 points is enough to be in top 7 second place teams out of 9.

Match starts at 9:30 eh? Turns out it was 8:59! This unsuspecting sucker clicked on the Match tab and saw the score before watching it. >_>

Will have to watch later. Batman will be on soon >:D

Which Batman?
