Hi,
I'm a 45 year old Swedish guy.
My team, BK Kasparius has played 35 leaguematches and only has been beaten twice.

I'm a tactical genius... and will take New Zealand to a higher dimension.

I'll promise to work hard to take New Zealand to the WORLD CUP next season, and also to give your National Team all the time that is needed.

If you want a serious coach for New Zealands NT, i'm sure that i'm the one to vote for.

Best Regards
/Mats

Gidday there!

Would you possibly give a few good examples of your tactical knack at work? This would only be for the benefit of the few of us that actually have Plus but myself would still like to see.

I dont recall seeing you here before either just coming to talk forum-wise, this leads me to believe that you wont communicate much about whats happening in games and such and tactic discussion afterwards, do you agree?

Also, our past two national team coaches have been tactical geniuses which can easily be shown by their own feats in their own league team. Do you feel that not having a great league record yet will serve as a disadvantage to you?

Thanks for your time!

Hey Barhilo... and others.

I could only point at my own team. As i've told you in my speech i've only lost two leaguegames in my whole carrier. So my league record is just so good it could be ;)

I've met the Swedish NT-capt. and his team Cambrants Knähundar once in our NT-cup and i beat him easy.

I'm known in the Swedish forum as a brilliant tacticer... but my international experiece is not so good yet, there you've got a point.
But everbody has to start sometimes, or?

I will communicate on the forum, both before and after the matches. I would love to have a discusion with everone who care about NZ:s NT.

I also hope to have a good relationship with you, and all other managers who will supply the National Team with players.

Thanks for asking me ;)

apologies - i did not realise the tables had updated to show the recent promotions/relegations, Well done!

Ok a scenario. Without knowing the skills of the players in our NT but knowing their ratings, how would you suggest we go about defeating a team that gets equal ratings across the park?
2007-03-05 22:58:07
Thanks again!
I couldn't give you a easy answer to that question... i have to get knowing the player before i settled the tactic ;)
But i'll promise you that i will take out the best in every singel player. Thats my signum ;)
I study the team we'll meet, again and again... and then i set my tactic to hunt them down. I'm very good to find out the weakness of an opponent, and strike him there. So... you couldn't get a "standardtactic" out of me... it depends on witch team we'll meet and their strenge and weakness.

You seem to know what you are talking about. I like that and it's nice of you to try as a candidate for New Zealand. I reckon you've got what it takes to be a really outstanding sokker player. But remember ;) With time comes experience, and experience, skill. You will be facing a very tough candidate.
2007-03-06 05:40:58
I know i'am far away from Maqomas experience i the Sokker-world, but i'm not that new.
I've also many years experience from other managergames and i think my thougts of the game i SK runs very well.
I'm a very active "forum-player" and give SK several hours each day... so i don't see myself as a very green player ;)

Yes i will face a very tough candidate, but if i'll get the chance to lead NZ-team, you all will see that experience doesn't mean all.
I'm used to be a underdog in my own country... and i'd done it damned good so far ;) ...and will proceed to do with the NZ National Team if i'll got the chans.

I am in the underdog-position next coming wedensday again and will meet a team who scored 90 goals last season (Slaskbo IK). I invite all of you who have PLUS to visit that game and se for yuor self how i'd play against better teams... and win.
2007-03-06 05:53:50
Yes Maqoma is a very tough candidate, but is he serious inough?
I have some experience from Sokker, and even a lots of expeience from many other managergames.

I'm used to be an underdog in my homecountry, and it runs very well there.
I'm familiar to the rules NZ-team used to play with... and i'm not gonna pick the moon down for you... but i WILL give your players, and your team the opportunity to show'em selfs on the best sides. I'will take out all of every singel player in the team. It's a promise!

I'will take out all of every singel player in the team. It's a promise!

could you please redefine that?
2007-03-06 10:43:17
Ok... i've looked throug a several matches NZ played, and think i could set the tactic to be a little bit sharper then before.
For instance;
I never let a player stand and wait somewhere on the field, cause there always a job to do.

Without knowing the exact skills it will be hard to give any concrete exampel, but very often when i 'd buy a player for my own team, he will preform better then he had before... just because I take out all of his benefits and let him work a little bit harder then before ;)

The equivalent phrase in English would be "to get the most out of a player" or something similar.

(Though I'm guessing Barhilo already knew that :P )
2007-03-06 10:53:28
Ok... it was my loosy english he was after ;)
But with a foreign coach it will happend sometimes... sorry for that.

Hi again,
i had now spend my day to take a closer look at your NT-players, and watch a few more matches ;)

I think bballmaster2 did a very good job latest against the Aussies, and i've nothing to say about his teamselection.

Proberly will a selection done by me, look very similar to what you saw in the 'aussie'-game.

What i will do instead is to change the tactic a litte bit, and perhaps try out 4-4-2 with a very defensiv midfielder instead. (Even 4-5-1 with right kind of skills on a attacker is a thougt)

The biggest different will proberly be how the wingers work... they gonna sweat a lot more then before ;)
Also the movement of the attackers will be a little bit different.

I will also come up with new NT-requirements (already done on my home database ;) there I’will separate the defenders in wingbacks and centrebacks, thu I think this is two different playertypes.
Even the midfielders requirement will be changed, so they better fit in, in my kind of tactic.

This is just some thoughts before i've seen the skills of your players, but it feels good that you are aware of how i'm thinking, before you've to decide on who should run your NT.

As you see... i'll not ruin your proud NT, just continue the good work bballmaster2 has started!

See you!

Our Strikers are arguably the strongest part of the team, we have 3 of magnificent calibre, Bodger being the best of course!

Midfielders are also not the strongest point of NZ..

Knowing this now, would you still consider using the 4-5-1 tactic?
2007-03-06 19:06:55
I know the strength of your strikers... Bodger, Gilbert, Chadwick, Roza and Hird, and i would love to play with at least two of them :)

Look at my latest match against Boston Utd. and specially at this player: MacKinnon. Notice his position on the field and WHAT he played ;)

This is one way to play 4-5-1 with the right kind of striker as a MID. There is reasons why a played him so, but this i will keep as a secret for now.
I'm full of tactical surprises... and this will take your NT to a higher dimension, like i'd said before...

So yes... i still consider using a 4-5-1 tactic (but still with two of the names i've mentioned on top)

...forgot ;)

But the most important thing is to scout your opponent well, and then set the tactic.
And this will be done carefully everytime before a new match with me as your NT-coach!
