I'd be a tad concerned if he can become good enough for the U21s. Can still make a decent trainee as talented.
2025-10-23 10:35:46
The pace as excellent certainly better than having that swapped with tech.
2025-10-23 10:35:47
Excellent pace is a huge plus, it wont take long to be at outstanding pace and formidable or even outstanding defending.
2025-10-23 10:36:27
I have no idea what level the current 20 yr olds are. :)

Jackpot, what a superb striker trainee. With Eden Webb and this guy we have 2 superb striker trainees now in the 18 yr old age group.
2025-10-23 14:18:22
I assume you’ll be keeping him?
2025-10-23 15:17:51
That'll do. 27 puts him joint 1st alongside Alan Smith.
2025-10-23 15:24:07
You have Eden Webb too ;)

So that’s 3 good strikers for the age group. We could be strong up top of we reach the finals

Yes, even though i am a bit Irish focused, he has been our top talent for a while and watching what is probably too many junior games.. i was pretty certain he was a striker so have had a space free for him since the season started. Also in a decent financial situation with a good start to the season so don't have to think about selling to balance the books etc.. (for a bit of a change)
2025-10-23 16:52:41
That’s good news. If you did sell I am sure you’d get good interest in him. I would have thought about making space for him.
2025-10-23 17:18:22
We're good for strikers down to 18 and I think we're ok for other positions too. My only concern at the moment is defenders (and less so wingers) for next season.
2025-10-23 18:22:49
I am working on 3 x 18 yr old defenders and hope I can make them good enough, certainly both have great talent. Bamford should be a great midfielder if he keeps popping at his current rate.
2025-10-23 18:29:04
yes thats true, ill hang on to him and look forward to the long term injury in about 1-2 weeks time :)
2025-10-23 19:45:37
Hopefully not! lol

At this age it's a lot about talent. I've checked some top Polish players to see how they started compare to where they are now. This is the biggest shock I've seen:

17 years old, week 2
0 pace 9 def
1 tech 9 pm
1 pass

DEF sumskill: 20

you'd expect nothing great will come out of such player... yet he plays in first team of Polish NT now and his sumskill is 78, which is crazy compared to how he looked like at 17. +58 skills!
