Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide
thats true NCN but the problem is that to compete in our league you need players who get good ratings and therefore need those mid to high level players
Indubitably. I think I've only bought two players for that price. Your Belgian and a guy I sold for £135 000.
that's how i can afford them, by trading off the reserves, and to an extent the first team. I can't afford to wait 5 seasons for a 17 year old to come through, neither can you, surely ? :)
as I am training pace I have 22 trainies, if you look at their ages a number will be sold mid next season. I think that will make me between 5 and 6 million (possibly more). It will leave me with training space for tech. I will be training Cinalli and my starting mid witch leaves me with 4 space. I have 3 already and wanted someone talent for the other. My thinking with a 17 year old is that if they are talented enought they will be v.good in 3 seasons time when they will be need for the first team and if not they will be sold when I finish pace for a handsome profit

not at all, it's always useful to get an understanding of your opponents' thinking :).
I'm kind of getting to the point where I'll be trying to sell a 26 year old to buy a 25 year old, hopefully the 25 year olds will continue to improve, and the sales of my younger players will pay for the difference in prices.
At the moment I'm just trying to stop goals leaking, so 5 defender trainees are a must as I look to improve the first team.

I have thought that but I have decided to just try and score more goals. It seems to be working
also hopefully I won't be your opponent for long (might get promoted?)

It's a fine line - I'm convinced that the difference between the top 6 or 7 teams in our league is form.
Edit : And beat Woppa twice and I'll agree with you :)

Well as kipper has done so, I'll reveal my "strategy"
Basically, my strategy started 3/4 seasons ago. my plan was to have uber defs, trained pm, passing in consecutive seasons, last season was def, and this and next are pace. My trainees were bought around this. My plan is to train these defs up massively, until they are 25/6, alternating between pace, and def. hopefully being unearthly/divines in def, sell these off, for a huge amount, buy in some 24/5 yo atts/mids/GK, for pace training, and also replace those defs with worse ones, hopefully, my second team is about 1/2 seasons behind my first, meaning at the end of every def season I look to sell, for better pace trainees up the pitch, hopefully maintaining a continuos cycle.
My next bunch of sales comes at the end of this season, 1 maybe 2 defs will be sold, as will a striker, all 3 to be replaced, hopefully by another uber striker, and 2 very nice looking trainees.

£150K, bought for def training. Doing def for the rest of this season then next, then onto a season of pace. Bargain or robbed? And yes I know his pm is shite, but have you seen the price of trainees these days?!
Freddy Michaux, age: 17
value: 26 700 £, wage: 465 £
club: AFC Bramford Lane, country: France
very good form, tragic tactical discipline
unsatisfactory stamina, tragic keeper
adequate pace, average defender
weak technique, hopeless playmaker
good passing, unsatisfactory striker

if he has talent then bargain otherwise you were robbed.
p.s his PM and tech is not to be looked at and prices for trainees are too high these days

If he isnt talented I can sell him week 1 or week 2 next season and get my money back at least :)
Another £150k signing, better pm,passing & tech than the last guy but a level lower in pace. B or R?
