Subject: Player sent off

Hi,
I copied a thread, from the Canadian forum, for replacing a defender that is sent off, see below;
Orders for replacing defender sent off
1' red card or no player
Martin on position 2
1' red card or no player
Martin on position 3
1' red card or no player
Martin on position 4
1' red card or no player
Martin on position 5
1' red card or no player
Martin on position 6
Martin is my defensive midfielder.
Tonight my defender (6. Kafati) was sent off after 75 mins, but Martin did not come on at all.
With this match order I can not see how Sokker knows which other player to take off to allow Martin on.
Is this idea flawed or have I missed something?

You made a mistake:
That tipe of order it's working only for first team players.

I think the game engine only checks on the minute you specified.
I tried something similar against you with my goalie if I was losing by 2 goals and it didn’t work.

When you use this tipe of change a player by first squad (example Alin Gonta), change position on the field and playing on red card player position.

Now I am working.

According to the match (substitution) rules, the match engine checks continually throughout the game, see extract below:

For the conditional orders listed below, the minute will mean minute to start checking condition, not minute when condition is checked (if you set a condition in the first minute, it could happen in the 89th minute for instance as the event will be checked all game, rather than just in the 1st minute as it would have been before):

* player has yellow card
* red card or no player
* player is slightly injured

When a player is sent of say its a center back you have the wing back moving into his position, you can't bring a player on for a player sent off or you'd have 11 players still!!

So have a player moving into that postion already on the field if the postion the player is sent off in is a more important position.

Or say a center back was sent off, bring say another center back on for a wing back then switch wing back for center back

I think I see my mistake now. Instead of switching each defender with Martin (Sub) I should have switched them with say one of my forwards that is already on the pitch. It makes sense now. I new I couldn't keep 11 players on the pitch but I thought that the match engine maybe decided to take a midfielder or forward off if I used the 'red card or no player' option.

Or say a center back was sent off, bring say another center back on for a wing back, then 6 minutes later switch the center back from the wing back postion to the center back position, I say 6 minutes incase there's no break in play for the sub it might not happen because you'd be bringing on a center back for a sent of center back!

I might not have understood this but how exactly can you do this?
The reason I say that is because you have no idea when the red card is going to occur.

i'd rather have a center back covered than anywhere else so you cover the center backs or dmc or cm and not a striker!

I were simply wondering how you can manage to switch 2 players 6 mins after a red card when you don't know the red card is happening in the first place?

Surely, the only thing you can do is to replace the sent off player with another player who is on the pitch at the time of the incident so putting the "hole" in your tactic somewhere else.
