Oh wow, they actually sell off dead teams now.

That's cool. Didn't used to be that way
2026-05-10 16:11:20
A lot of them have some NT caps so they atleast get spared. It looks like a lot of them ended up missing training. A little disappointing looking at his whole team skill wise
2026-05-10 16:40:55
Yeah especially Sutton who was 3x16 at 26yo. Given continuous training he would be now dropping from superdivine to divine. Having another 3-4 seasons at top level.

Instead he is now not good enough for top 6 ML team.

I looked at a couple of players but the prices....better them than me

Chaz McNaughty at 3.1M a decent grab
Scott Varholak 1 366 375 $ that's a good value

the rest of them, definitely not cyber Monday prices.

Yeah, Chaz is good, it just didn't make sense for me at the stage my club's roster is in.
2026-05-12 19:16:25
Depends how You want to look at it.

Even not giving him any training at this price he is basically "for free" if kept for three seasons. He might pop somewhere from general and will contribute to better income by winning games here and there to offset wage expenses. can easily be sold at 2.75-3M at age 29.

Seems like Your team will be quite strong in 4-5 seasons.

I signed Chaz myself; my idea is to train his pace at least until he's 28, and then we'll see.

If the NT coach wants to give me any advice, I'm willing to listen.

I honestly feel like me signing Chaz to general train him would be a waste of this country's limited player resources.

Plus I am sorta hoarding money right now because I understand how expensive my roster will be in a few more seasons. Plus, I can't make money on the side doing this. Not until I finish training my 5 defenders, likely in early age 28 injury dependent. The other 5 I intend to keep training until at least age 30. It's not the optimal means to run a franchise, but I knew that going in, it's just what I prefer to do.

That’s great, thanks.

Yeah I think pace makes the most sense. He might pop in other skills just from general.

In your experience how late age wise do You tend to train your players?
2026-05-13 02:20:58
Yeah I see Your approach.

I personally think hybrid approach is best. Few guys long term, few guys short term for a flip in a league like ML, can keep You in top 6 for a very long time.

I’m planning to alternate between 2-8 and 7-3 depending on how situation develops. Whenever I had 6-7 older players doing advanced training, Wednesday night update would become rather boring.

28y or 29y if he´s near to pop up any skill

Oh, you are absolutely right - it's how it is mostly done in professional soccer as well.

I just don't enjoy it as much :)
