Subject: World Cup '06

hey, guys thought i would create this topic to discuss the matches...i hope you are all excited as I am for the next month :P
anyways...i'm going to come out and say that I think Ukraine will win this world cup, i know they are the dark horse, but i think they have an easy bracket and should have a good chance, what do you guys all think?

I'm not much of a WC fan, but have looked at the brackets and agree with you. Ukraine should do well ... might even win it all.

i dont watch world cup because i hate sokker, thats is really boring game.... :)

BTW, 12 june USA-Czech 1:1 ... alone goal by Stokes of course if coach Arena won't forget to set him

The USA can still advance after a draw with Italy today. The most likely scenario to advance now is a win against Ghana and an Italy victory over the Czechs.

Or an Italy/Cech tie and a 12-5 USA win... ;)

That is the most likely scenario.

Omigod.....the ref in the US-Italy game had to be under the influence of mind altering drugs...........or had a bet on the game, which could have been the reason he was suspended by the Uruguay fed for match "irregularities" during the last world cup.Talk about ruining a game!

I wouldnt be surprised if the commish of WC refs was at the tunnel with a plane tickets home as soon as the refs from that game walked off the field.

haha...yeah i def. agree, but honestly there was i've seen a worse red card than the first one US got...if anyone watched the Ukraine-Spain game, the red Ukraine got was probably the worst call/card given i have ever seen in my life

He was definitely influenced by the red card he had already given though. The second one was completely unjustifiable.
