Subject: The Curse of the Wallace

2006-12-11 18:39:40
I'm convinced that the reason my youth squad has been SO atrocious is the Curse of the Wallace.

I you are unaware, Orien Wallace was to be a star in the US, prior to being murdered most foully.

After that point about 3 seasons ago, am sure that i haven't gotten more than 5 orso total players arriving in my squad who were keepable, and none of those were pulled higher than formid (most weren't even that high).

I'd like to commend the devs for coding this level of complexity into the game.

Wonder if i'd get better luck if i moved back to my black-on-black kit.

Wonder why i'm calling the uniform "kit" - i'm no european.

Because you know kit is the right word?
2006-12-11 19:08:33
Uniform.
2006-12-11 19:24:58
Kit.

Uniform is for work/school. Kit is for sports.

It's uniform is the US. Being as you are on the US forums.

But rest assured if we ever choose to visit the British forums, we'll be sure to use the fruity term you all like - 'kits'.

I'm just trying to promote Englishisms in the USA ;).

Go to the theatre with a spot of tea and some biscuits.
2006-12-11 20:46:01
And come artery clogging chips, for goodness sake.

PS Don't eat any british food except beer - it all stinks.
2006-12-11 20:48:03
yea, and im pretty sure 'Chopper Wibble' isnt even a funny name

Our chocolate is better than yours :P.

I've tried the US chocolate, and it is just like the cheapo chocolate you get here.

*thinks of moving topic to freestyle*

British beer is very good though. I love English pub ales and Irish beer/ales also best.
2006-12-11 20:52:05
mmm boddingtons
2006-12-11 21:10:07
indeed. It's really a shame my favorite is Caffery's cream ale, but it's impossible to get in Maryland and Virginia.

Some of my favorites: Young's (especially the double chocolate stout) beers, Boddington's, Caffery's, Guinness (always great), and Fuller's (especially the ESB).

Guiness and Bass Ale. Civil war in a Mug. Yummmmmm.
2006-12-11 21:16:32
HEY, this was about the wallace. Stop letting that evil BritMod sidetrack us!
2006-12-11 21:17:11
Ok. The Wallace is gone and forgotten, much like British World Dominance.

How is that?
