I'm choosing now, so - maybe you guys help me!

p.s. I know that Belaggio is the best, but we talk about something cheaper;)

the Luxor is very good from a room quality standpoint. Very spacious even at the lower price levels. I think we got the second cheapest room type, and it was still about 500 sq ft.

New York New York is awesome from an atmosphere/restaurants standpoint. The room space wise is very small though. I wouldn't actually 'stay' there again. We got the Park Avenue room and it was like a closet.

The last time we stayed in Vegas, we roomed at the Luxor and spent most of our gaming time at NY NY :)

I was in Vegas, 4-5 years ago: if you want to stay in the strip just find the cheap room you can find there, anyway i don't think you will stay in the room much time. Back there i stay at the NYNY, the room has standard features that you find around hotels. What i remember was the choices that you have with restaurants (i'm a professional chef myself): you have most every famous chefs in probably less than a mile: i don't gamble but i'm sure that in 4 nights there i spent something like 1500$ in food.
If you like shows, don't miss BLU men group (one of my favorite); cirque du soleil it's fine if you like the type and IMO forget about roy and his tigers if they are still up (i'm not so sure).

Blue Man Group plays at Luxor.

'O" at the Bellagio is a MUST see.

Loved staying at the Flamingo Hilton, as the buffet was ALWAYS open.
Just a few blocks walk in any direction to MGM [great shows and slots], NY/NY, Mirage, etc.
Rates were exceptionally good ... look online for special pricing, including flight and limo from the airport. Not worth renting a car .. everything is within walking distance on the strip.

Yeah, we just took a travel bus to/from the airport. Only costs 10 bucks a person.

We went to Vegas this past spring and stayed at Excalibur. Like someone mentioned earlier, room size will not be too much of an issue as you will only be there to sleep. We had no complaints at all with Excalibur

Blue Man Group is a definite must see, but they had moved from Luxor to the Venetian, IIRC. Still worth it for the entertainment value.

Best bet to get around is the Double Decker buses. Pay the all day rate and ride up and down the strip and into Downtown. The Fremont Street experience is pretty cool with the video canopy show going off every hour on the hour after dark and until 11pm.

The best piece of advice I can give you is take a pair of very comfortable shoes. You will do quite a bit of walking, even with the all day bus pass. The casino properties are fairly large and require lots of time on your feet.

Have fun and remember, "What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas." :)

He is right about the Blue Man Group.

I actually liked the larger room space at Luxor because they had more dresser space for clothing and just to be able to 'lay all of your stuff out' of the suitcase. Also, you do take showers, and they had a spacious shower and bathroom.

Not to mention all of the 'stuff' you'll accumulate on your visit there.

Agree about the shoes, 100%.

Also, the statue shows in Caesar's Palace are pretty good. Of course, the Bellagio fountain show at night...

I liked the cocktail waitresses outfits at Paris the best. Ooh la la! There were all sorts of hot slots to put my quarters into (oh, if only I wasn't married temporarily...) :p

Finally I chose MGM, they have great rates in time that I'm going, and also pretty decent review's from other travellers. Hopefully it'll be nice stay;)

Thanks!
