Hi Yenkees, in this topic we (you) could talk about movies... But first I have one question. I saw "Aliens" (director's cut) a few day ago and when marines are landing on LV-426 pilot says "5-5-5". I know you got lot of these "army things" like fire in the hole etc. but what does five-five-five means?

I think that was just for the movie, el_scorpio. I've never heard it outside of that movie.

But in any case, in context i'd guess he's saying everything's good :)

Edit: btw, if you hear it in a phone number, that's the "fake" phone number NPX. On TV they can't give out a real number, so they use 555 because no one ever will have a number with 555 as the NPX (npx is the 3 numbers after the area code in USA phone numbers)

okay, has anyone seen 300 yet? Imho very, very good movie... I don't like animated backround but, they have budget only 65 mil.$ (btw. during first weekend thet earn 75 mil.$!!!)

I watched 300. Poor Santoro... At least he could speak some sentences in this movie. :)

boy, 300 was good. it was still a really good movie(even with the background). And pretty cool how they attacked. Spartans, attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh by the way, in the end the spartan emporer threw the spear at the persian emporer. But i think he missed on purpose, just to prove to him that he was not god, or something great, or something holy by making him bleed in front of everyone. That's why he looked at his hand in disbelief.
