well, argentina 4 - usa 1.... i guess after that sad defeat we should keep talking about baseball...

they could probably beat us in baseball too. Mexico did :)

The sad part is, Mexico thought we cared as much about the baseball result as they did when the U.S. beat them in the World Cup.

Let's not have too much doom and gloom because of the first match. I don't believe we fielded our best team but I think we had a bunch of younger guys playing. And Argentina is just a very good side that we played well early but it looked like we just tired in the second half ...

Mets fan here too :) Our pitchers need to stop getting hurt, mota needs to be released, Suckenweis needs to be released...and Tom Glavine needs his Greg Maddux strike zone again :(

Bradley and the USA Soccer Fed have been writing off the Copa America and promoting the Gold Cup. You can tell by the difference in TV Coverage (or lack thereof) that there was no interest at all to "try" or just to accept defeat.

Also, I think the MLS teams wanted their players to only miss time from their club teams for the Gold Cup. Getting more USA exposure for their players.
