Subject: USA teams
ehm,
Which is the diferent between "soccer" & "Football" ?
I thouth that it was the same but football for UK and "soccer" for America.
And what about indoor. I huess that ppl from America will like "indor soccer *" more than soccer.
*-> Indor Soccer. Similar rules but only 5vs5 in shorter field, master, requires more technique.

ya dude, im stoked about indoor soccer starting up this quarter
My eldest son, who is now 32 years old, played college soccer [Futbal] and participated in indoor soccer [Futbal] during the Winter. He was chosen MVP of a tournament when he allowed only one goal in three games indoors! Quite a good goalkeeper who now coaches High School soccer [Futbal] in Michigan.
Oh ... his boy's team won the Michigan State Championship in 2003.
I enjoy indoor soccer [Futbal] much more than outdoor ... yawwwwwn.

Down here in the south we refer to indoor as Futsal.

yep USA people are just idiots and call it something different. american football should be called lameball
Sorry, fromastaflex ... after coaching American football for over 25 years, and having five children who played soccer [Futbal], I respectfully disagree with you. Nothing lame about the strategy and teamwork needed for a football team to succeed.
A soccer team with one super stud can do well in most circumstances, just like a basketball team with someone who can jump through the ceiling can succeed without a super team surrounding that one player.

Hey, fromastaflex:
USA people are idiots? Where are you from, then?

born and raised in so-cal my entire life. its just a joke man
ive got no problem with football. i just said that because here in the states soccer is discriminated against somewhat. we have grown up with people bashing soccer all the time, many football fans/players, calling the game boring or the players "grass faries" and such.
its funny, mls gets no tv coverage while espn plays repeats of pardon the interruption and around the horn yelling at eachother about the same stuff all the time haha. right now im sitting in my dorm watching the only game of soccer ESPN will play all week, tuesday at noon. champions league AC milan and OLyon.
at first i thought people who play sokker would all be soccer fans/players, but there was a post earlier on where it became evident that some users didnt even know how offsides works exactly, which i found amusing
maybe thats why i like sokker so much haha, i get to watch a few more games a week without having to travel to my local 'roundtable pizza'.

Well if it's any consolation our rugby players think our footballers are "grass fairies" also..

I swallowed my tongue watching the first leg, maybe not the best matchup to watch, especially if you're someone who needs to be hooked on football, as it is football and not soccer. Btw, please don't post the results in this thread as some of us can't see them till Friday.
