Booked with Belarus. Agreed to play U21 to even the sides a little. Would think that would mean 21 year olds are available, but I'm waiting to see what the Belarussian manager's interpretation is.
21 year olds are available, but we will still need to make a few call-ups to field a team.
I have a couple of 21yo that could be interesting. Which position are you looking for?
Heehee. That's true. I'll try to sneak the word "team" in there to avoid confusion.
If managers have some players that might be useful, please send the info. :) 7 of the 16 that were capped last week are 21 or younger. I've already added a few (Lavrynenko, Choquet, Villaneuva, Craig) but still looking for a few more.

Oops. It was only 5 U21s last week. I had mentally added Mayard and Amado to my list, neither of which dressed last week.
Since tomorrow's game is the start of the new NT season, I thought I would post the stat totals (combined friendlies and WC matches) from this (just finished) season.
Goals
Barry 12
Garvey 8
Moreau 5
Giacomi 2
Piel 1
Amado 1
Gusberti 1
Assists
Klukowski 3
8 tied with 1
(Gusberti, Piel, Diplacido, Robinson, Garvey, Omar, Dion, Iginla)
Seems Rex is still very much our talisman.

World Cup Prelim groups are drawn. We are in with:
Italy (#2)
Mexico (#38)
Belarus (#41)
New Zealand (#51)
Greece (new nation)
Would need a pretty extreme upset to finish ahead of Italy. :) Mexico's ranking is misleading - they are much better then #38 in the Sokker world. Otherwise, a nice group. :)

Nice group, I think Canada and México will not have problems ;) Good luck.

Wow, love this group. We have a real shot at second with good points and high goal differential. This could leave us well positioned to get through to the knock out phase. Very nice, better than I expected, 10 groups so by finishing 20th we snagged the last '2' spot ;) Sweeett!
Completely agree. :)
After the WC I think we were ranked 25th - that translates into Columbia's position in the table - and look how their draw turn ed out. Glad we put our best foot forward in all our friendlies.
Btw - do we have any Canadian managers that speak decent Italian or Spanish? Please send me a Sokker mail if so ... I might have a job for you. :D

Play the Swiss this week.
As I said in the press release, being in good shape for next week's game is more important then winning this one, so many normal starters will not see action.
I expect to see the full Swiss A-squad. The manager of the Swiss team would seem to be in a competive election, and a win against us might help his chances.
Players in italics I would rather not be using, but are struggling with form. So they are in hoping a little extra playing time will boost them up a bit.
Planned line-up: Clemens, McGhee, Villaneuva, Lamo, K Laforest, Ortega Santiago, Vezina, Mayard, Klukowski, Moreau, Giacomi
Planned Subs: O'Hara, Amado, B. Laforest
Water Boys: Parker, Lavrynenko
