Canada vs Cameroun 0-2

Unfortunately this one did not go as planned. I tried a new tactic and it went not as I would have expected. The second goal was a weird thing, the ball is dancing on the crossbar and after a few second in goes into a goal, our goalie looking at it like he was watching a movie. That is a clear bug.

Anyway, we did not deserve much from this, so next match against Tunis is a must, in winning. No excuses!

El Salvador vs Canada 2-4

From our last two games we gained two more wins. Yes, the opponets were weaker, but they played quite good against us. Different tactics have been played, can not say which one was more efficient.

Interesting to have a right mid in that position. And I think he would have been better on the left side if you are going to have him there.

Also the really really low defense was interesting ;p

It's nice to see Tice in decent form and playing for the NT. When I were in charge his form were simply dreadful which made picking him a complete non-starter especially as I were blessed with about 5 decent keepers anyway!

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of having the defense quite so deep. There's nothing wrong in sitting deep if you want to but I'd still start with them a little bit bit further up the pitch, it doesn't have to be much though if that's what you want to do. I just think that at times having them this deep can bring it's own problems. It were just a friendly so no harm done anyway not to mention that is just my preference in terms of this as well too which might not be worth anything in the long run ;-)

As being a friendly season I try to to see different tactics in action. That is right, I noticed it as well, it was indeed too low def. Tice is my main boy now, Garnett is there as well, but I am not happy with his game, every time I played him he did something wrong.

That is the good thing about friendly games because the result doesn't matter that much. However, that being said, I liked playing highly ranked teams because they were trying things out and resting players etc. When winning these games you can get a real boost to your ranking points as the aim has to be to get to the top 32 in order to try and make qualification for the WC a little easier.

Yeah, it is more about finding solutions for official games. I have a couple of hard games, I tried playing low ranked teams as well to be able to offer minutes on field for the rest of the 40 list players who do not usually play.

Anyway next one is against Moldova. Should be a though one.

Unfortunately the result condemns us. I squeezed the most out of our players. I revolutionized the tactics, to close the outlets to our defense, but all in vain. I'm sorry, I love these colors.

McRitz, you manage with what you have at your disposal. And the truth is that you do not have much to rely on. I`ve got the same problems at a higher level, NT seniors, I have a huge lack of defensive and central mids, we do not even have a full option striker. So? It is normal to be stuck and not being able to perform.

Anyway, yesterday we played against Venezuela, a much better team and we got a draw. We had the clear goal chances and easily should have scored more from our 1 vs 1 goal chances. But sokker is like football, it won`t work all the time.

This is our first positive result after 1-2 against the Aussies and 2-3 against Moldova in an U28 encounter. I used two different tactics, a defensive 4132 and a more aggressive, 4312 tactic. The more offensive one worked much better giving us more scoring chances.

Next week, we welcome to Canada, Panama!
