.........assistant managers??

Or is the huge chunks of money that are fluttered away each week better put to use somewhere else?

I ask as i have a hugely talented 19yo and dont wont to risk his training.

keep the 3 assistants.

I switched to using 3 assistants soon after starting as investing in trainees is the most important thing in the game for long term success.
Assistants are always affordable, just pick 3 of similar level that fit your budget.

Ignore the guy in that thread rambling on about have 1 Unearthly being better than 3 excellent / formid assistants.

the 3 excellent coaches will be cheaper than an unearthly coach and the extra training provided is far better.

Unearthly only has level = 16
3* Excellent = 30

so its always better to have say 3 decent assistants than than 1 or 2 great 1s

well i have a head coach of formidable and 2 assistants of outstanding and formidable. I always thought it was more what the coach was at what your training that mattered?

That's correct.

Suttie's post was about assistant coaches, Only their overall ability matters and not their levels in pace, def etc. So 3 excellent would be better than one unearthly.

If you can afford it I'd go for another formid/outstanding asst coach rather than firing one or both.

still doing fine with 2x outstanding and 1 brilliant. personnaly, i dont believe paying an extra 30 000 $ each week is worth the difference :)

unless you happen to be training up the best Belgium Mid ever ;)


Kidding asside, I do think it is worth while going for magical assistants when training those one off mega youths who will be on the NT sceen for years to come.

But for most normal trainees, 3* outstanding-brilliant assistants should be quite adequate.

Unearthly assistants are just mad, but if you have the money and want to burn it away (or you get incredibly lucky with the coach lottery) then be my guest ;)

i think im goign to go for 2 * outstanding and 1*Incred.

Any ideas on how much an outstanding and a incred would cost off the list?

Imagine if you took two identical players and trained them for 10 seasons, with everything else, like injuries and so on, being equal.

If one of the players was trained with a top coach and no assistants and the other player was trained with an identical coach but with the help of assistants, then how different, after the 10 seasons, would our two players be? Is it like multiple levels of skill? A poorer spread of so-called random pops by one or two levels or more, or what?

I dunno you could say more chance of a random pop. But how can you judge a "random" pop?
