I'm trying to figure out how best to approach training. This is almost the end of my second season, and so far I've just trained stamina and pace. Now I'm trying to figure out where to go from here.

I've got two players in the national team. Baloyi (20) is a defender and Pono (21) is a striker. Should I focus on training one of them, probably Baloyi, and look for juniors to train along with him?

Should I instead look at my youngest players and try to train where they are weak?

In general, my squad looks like they could use more stamina training but Baloyi has already maxed that out.

Any suggestions?

I only train stamina in preseason. Personally i train mids only and buy reinfrcements for the other areas in my team.

I would say stick to with what u got the most potensial trainees of wich would save allot of cash so if u and go from there :) but think there is a shortage of defencers for the NT team so could be usefull if u do defence

If I can find some decent South African trainees, I will train DEF. I'll do some stamina now and switch in a few weeks.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Can they ever be in the NT?

I got outbid on Shonhayi by a polish team, Arsenal.

I've got no idea how much I should be willing to pay for trainees and gave up at R800 000. I'm still trying to buy the other guy.

Well, after seeing the prices on the those two defender trainees, I'm beginning to think Theunis has the right idea. If I buy them up I'll be broke in no time.

I'll have to work with what I've got, but hopefully will work on DEF. In the meantime, I'm training STA.

Yip great trainees are hectic expensive i got some foreighners in and got 2 local ones 2. But yeah train what u got and when trainee comes along snap him up because think defence is our problem mate and ull help the NT great deal ensuring comitted training in that department
2006-07-24 14:34:28
yes. defence is a big problem for NT...
only Lucas Yohane is on NT level..
Humphrey Baloyi can be in the future :)

also [Carlos Mabotsa could be a great defender. i'd like to see him in Durban City, where he could be trained in DEF... :)

HAHA well gonna do some pace but i mean if Durban City can lodge me an offer i will be tempted to sell my star player :)
2006-07-24 15:00:19
pace is useful too, but he needs also 3-4 levels of DEF :)

If you can get a semi decent defender, you can always put them in my direction, I might be able to help out and train them up (along with my other international defenders).

but 21yo (22 in new season) is too old for you i think? :)
