Well, that was interesting...
The boys held out well against Scotland in the early stages, being only a goal down against the much stronger team at half-time. The writing was on on the wall though as, by that stage, all four of the back line had been yellow-carded!
When Baloyi got sent off in the 52nd minute, Madigage moved into the backline. Bafana held out until the 79th minute, but Scotland's superior strength and extra man advantage told as they slotted 3 goals in the final 11 minutes to win 4-0.
The stats will show that we were outplayed in all departments, but I thought we did relatively well considering the strength of opposition.
This has, however, left our defence with further problems for next weeks tough match against Germany as Baloyi and Mabotsa are both suspended. Still, it's better that the players get their suspensions now than in the WC qualifiers.
